WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
BEGINNING FALL 2014
“I AM A WOMAN, PHENOMENALLY.
PHENOMENAL WOMAN, THAT’S ME.” - MAYA ANGELOU
500 Washington Street SEGainesville, GA 30501
The interdisciplinary Women’s Leadership Program is designed to offer students academic and experiential op-portunities to develop leadership skills informed by gender awareness. In addition to taking foundational courses in gender studies and leadership principles, students will com-plete an internship directly related to women in leadership.
As part of the experience, each student will submit a paper or project about the internship and present it to a faculty committee. If a student’s major requires an internship, that course may fulfill this requirement provided the student’s work focuses on women and leadership.
