Problems of women in India From the ancient period the women are facing many

problems like dowry, child marriage,sati,widow,these are the olden problems but the present problems are acid attacks, Trafficking etc

According to a global poll conducted by Thomson Reuters, India is the "fourth most dangerous country" in the world for women, and the worst country for women among the G20 countries.

In India there are so many barriers to women empowerment they are poverty,education,security,health etc

literacy rate of women is very low when comparing with boys

The literacy rate of women is 65.46 comparing with men .In rural areas the literacy rate was 57.9

Poverty Poverty is considered as barrier to women

empowerment because of women are selling themselves

Andhra Pradesh accounts for nearly half of all sex trafficking cases in India, the majority involving adolescent girls. According to police estimates, a shocking 300,000 women and girls have been trafficked for exploitative sex work from Andhra Pradesh; of these just 3,000 have been rescued so far.

Act1929 sati prevention act 1829. The government also started the a ministry for

women Ministry for Women & Child Development it was given powers in 2006.

Recently a bank was started to promote women on 19 November 2013.

Conclusion Swami Vivekananda once said “arise away

and stop not until the goal is reached”. Thus our country should thus be catapulted into the horizon of empowerment of women and revel in its glory.

We have a long way to go, but we will get there someday. We shall overcome.

And by teaching moral values to children from child on wards will increase the value of in society
