TIPS TO HELP YOU TRANSITION
TO HIGH SCHOOL SUCCESSFULLY
Take a tour of the school so you will become familiar with the school campus.
8TH GRADE PARENT NIGHT – FEBRUARY 9TH AT 6:30PM
Our school has a variety of resources to help you but its important for you to know where you can get the help you
need!
Introduce yourself to the Administrative Team and most importantly, YOUR COUNSELOR!
Our goal is to ensure we are available to you and to assist you in your success!
Get involved with different clubs/activities so you can build a positive network of friends.
A positive network can have a positive impact on your academic, social and emotional well-being.
Know and understand the requirements to graduate ON TIME!
It will be your responsibility to ensure you are making the grade and credit each year so that you can graduate with your
classmates.
Create a short term and long term list of goals to help you through your first year in high school….be
sure to build in a back-up plan for those “just in case” moments.
Never be afraid to ask a question!
THANK YOU FROM BEAR NATION
