experimenting with media and visual elements and expressing ideas and feelings.

Complete tasks 1 to 4 and then at least one of the further development tasks.
Add images of any of the artists that inspire your work with your practical studies.

Task 2
Identity in environments & settings: Take photographs of yourself in your environment. Consider composition, lighting, close-ups and unusual viewpoints. You could choose natural, urban or interior environments. Include an object that reveals something about you.

Mood & Emotion
Task 4
Produce 2 or more portrait studies – (any media – pencil, ink, charcoal, collage, mixed media, ink, paint, photography etc), complete at least 1 in a colour media of your choice.
Each one must express a different emotion or mood (e.g. joyous, angry, threatening, sad, grief, aggressive, peaceful, lonely, calm, sensual, fragile, powerful, insane , protective, etc.)
Try and show the emotion by the marks you use, the media and it’s application (e.g brushes, sponges, fingers) or enlarged scale.
Work from observation initially, and add imaginative marks, gestures and colour to create the mood.
Fill the page up with each study, close ups are better than small studies.
