Welcome to Our Home What attracted us to buy this home? We moved to Virginia 12 years ago for work. My husband and I both traveled for work, so we were looking for a location convenient to Interstate 85 & 95, as well as a location close to an airport. We were also looking for a home with privacy and some acreage. This house met all those needs! We are around many people during our work week (airports, busy traffic in D.C., etc...) so having the chance to 'decompress' on the weekends was impor-tant. What have you enjoyed about this Home & Neighborhood? Driving home from a busy week...passing by the farm fields...I always got a feeling of peace come over me. Exiting the 'work world' and escaping to our retreat was very special. As soon as I got on to the rock road, I really felt relaxed. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the hummingbirds (contest every year with the neighbor on who had the most!) as well as watching the many deer that came to visit. There used to be an albino deer, and every year you see fawns that carry some white patches. We also enjoyed having bonfires, as you can see from the much-used fire pit! I hope you enjoy the benches that my husband made. We also spent some years clearing a path around the property.....follow the 'green dot trail' around the property. (tree's with spray painted dots of green paint'). Sunny, fall days are great to sit on the front porch! Why are we moving? 15 years of traveling was enough for me! We also longed for our home state of Wisconsin. An opportunity in Wis-consin for my husband came up at his work, so we have decided to move back near our families.
