Welcome
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I welcome you to the INGEGRAF-2019 Conference. Thirty years ago (1989), the group of university professors of Graphic Expression in Engineering, held the first congress in Huelva and founded the INGEGRAF Association with the objective of "carrying out as many activities as possible that enhance, boost, orient, coordinate, develop and promote in its scientific and technical aspects the research, innovation, technology transfer and outreach of the graphic expression in Engineering ".
In 1997, the first Italian-Spanish seminar organized jointly with the "Associazione di Disegno di Macchina" was held. I would like to use these brief lines of posthumous tribute to our dear colleagues and friends Xoan Leiceaga and Vito Cardone, two of the most enthusiastic promoters of this alliance.
In 2011, at the joint congress in Venice, the French association S.mart (Systems, Manufacturing, Academics, Resources Technologies) joined the group. The three groups form a collective that encompass the design, calculation and manufacture of the product.
This collaboration has encouraged the internalization of the congresses and has shown improvement in the quality of the research work, achieving the objective of publishing the accepted papers in a book indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, as well as indexed articles in jCR and SjR journals.
the second objective of Ingegraf, teaching, is manifest the dispersion of criteria that exists in relation to how to adapt the teaching / learning of graphic engineering, to respond to the new reality caused by the Digital Transformation in the representation of objects and to the needs of Industry 4.0.
Throughout these 30 years, the evolution of infographic technologies has radically changed the drawing and design tools, as well as the ability to perform with more efficiency the graphic representation of objects with a much more complex topology.
Transformation that we will discuss in 4 round tables, in which 12 speakers will summarize and promote the debate covering methodological experiences, teaching related to engineering graphics worldwide and teaching innovation along the professional career.
We hope that this Congress will be remembered for having started the pending task of achieving the alignment of the teaching/ learning of graphic expression subjects in engineering with the fulfillment of the engineering profession.
Finally, I would like to thank the Research Vice-Rector of the University of La Rioja, the Professional College of Industrial Engineers and Technical Industrial Engineers for their collaboration, the Ingegraf Management Board, for having confidence in us for the organization of this Congress, to the members of the Scientific Committee for their disinterested and effective collaboration, to all of those who have submitted a communication and to the members of the Local Committee for their enthusiastic and responsible participation in the organization of Ingegraf29.
Encourage everyone to participate actively in the debates and, in the short free time, to know, feel and enjoy the city of Logroño and La Rioja, the cradle of Spanish oral expression.
President of the OrganizingCommitteeProfessor Félix Sanz- Adán

The 29TH International Conference
on Graphics Engineering (Ingegraf
2019) will take place at the Higher
Technical School of Industrial
Engineering from the Technical
University of La Rioja. The University
of La Rioja, recognized as Campus
of International Excellence within
the Iberus project, was created on
May 14, 1992 through the
unanimous approval, in the
Congress of Deputies.
The Esuela Técnica Superior
de Ingenieros Industriales has
its roots in the School of Arts
and Crafts (1879).
The college belonged to the
Univerisidad de Zaragoza until
the creation of the UR (1992).
In 1996 Postgraduate and Doctoral programs in Industrial Engineering
were implemented.
Currently the ETSII College teaches: three Degrees (Electricity, Electronics &
Automation and Mechanical Engineering), two Masters (Industrial Engineering
and Interuniversity Engineering in Project Management) and a Doctoral
Program (Innovation in Product Engineering and Industrial Processes).
