Our customer has a leading global suite of data quality products
which they wanted to expose to Salesforce customers. Instead of
building their own Salesforce team they decided to partner with a
specialized Salesforce services provider to develop the integration.
This allowed them to keep the focus of their internal staff to the
core products, to minimize the risk by delegating the work to
Salesforce experts who live and breathe Salesforce and to better
control their budget.
Description
● Our customer had no internal knowledge of Salesforce and
wanted to find a long-term strategic partner who can
develop a and maintain the integration for them.
● Seamless and ubiquitous integration with Salesforce's UIs - a
requirement for the integration was to be able to support
several different workflows, each tailored to a specific
geographic region. All workflows had to be integrated
seamlessly with Salesforce custom objects pages and
standard objects pages in all Salesforce UIs (Sales Console,
Service Cloud Console, Classic, Lightning and Salesforce1).
Because of the specifics of the different Salesforce UIs and
the high level of configurability which the Salesforce
platform provides to customers, it was a significant
challenge to achieve this requirement.

● Supporting large data volumes - some of our customer's clients are
big multinational corporations which have large data volumes. The
batch processor of the solution we were building had to be able to
handle the sheer quantities of data. Because Salesforce is a
cloud-based multi-tenant system, it uses governor limits to ensure
that their servers' resources are not exhausted by a single
customer. This poses a great challenge for solutions which need to
be able to handle large data volumes.
