Did you know that......even cool air has a lot of energy. This is made use of by the compact hot water heat pump and represents an optimum energetic support for many heating systems - whether in newer or older housing. It generates the hot water (domestic water) without the assistance of the boiler. The pump extracts the heat energy needed to heat the warm water up to 55°C from the surrounding air (upwards of a +7° ambient temperature).

Flexible sensor positioningSensor clamping strips allow the temperature sensor to be positioned at will. As a result, the Huch storage tanks are suitable for many application fields. (barring storage tanks with PU rigid foam; here firmly positi-oned sensor/controller connections).
Innovative storage tank insulationPolyline® fleece insulation - High-grade fleece insulation incl. 100 mm cap and 50 mm base insulation; this reduces the heat loss by 10-15 %.
PU rigid foam insulation - Vessels are firmly foamed with high-grade polyurethane foam No chimney effect arises. The insulation is 50 mm thick and has excellent insulating properties.

General installation instructions
These general installation instructions do not replace the assembly and installation instructions attached to the storage tank. They contain additional instructions pertaining to the appliance!
Requirements placed on where installation takes place» Only install storage tank where there is no risk of frost» Firm, level base that can absorb loads» Short piping lengths to the user
Transfer to where the installation takes place» Clear the path to the installation site of any obstacles and items that could cause you to trip» Note the dimensions of the storage tank
Gap to the walls and solid fuel boilers» Keep to the minimum spacing as specified in the installation and assembly instruction attached to the storage tank» In keeping with the fire system ordinance, a minimum spacing of 1.000 mm is to be kept to the boiler (sparks could fly)
Commissioning» An authorized specialist firm is to undertake assembly, installation and commissioning» Seal tightness is to be checked at the commissioning stage » Before filling the system, check and, if necessary, re-tighten the tightening torques of the flange connection. This is also to be done after each start-up and after the initial heat-up» Tightening torque of the flanges: 20 - 30 Nm» Seals represent wear parts and are only to be used once» Flat-sealing R-threaded joints must not be used for any other purposes (R-thread with thread sealant, e.g. hemp or sealing tape, are not permitted)» Cold water access line to be fitted with an appropriate water filter» Handle heating water in line with VDI 2035n» The specified operating temperatures and pressure must not be exceeded

Our enamelled domestic water storage tanks comply with the strict domestic water ordinance as per §17 of the German Environmental Office and are deemed hygienically unproblematic. The same holds good for all those deployed components in contact with domestic water during operations. The smooth enamel surface reduces limescale and coating formation down to a minimum.

Domestic water storage tanks at the installation stage are subject to specific, tighter specifications. This is to rule out contamination of whatever kind. Acting as a form of corrosion protection enamelling has a vital role to pay given that water is a corrosive medium. Our domestic water storage tanks are designed in an enamel-compliant manner. This means there are no sharp edges inside the vessel where the enamel does not adhere properly, the enamel layer is uneven or major imperfections could develop. Even so, it is not possible to produce a 100% fault-free enamel surface. That is why magnesium or impressed-current anodes are additionally used to protect the minimum flaws.
Note the following when installing a domestic water storage tank:
» Installation in acc. with DIN and DVGW specifications (including DIN EN 806, DIN 1988, DIN 4753, DIN EN 1717)» Pay attention to the regulations of the local water supplier
» Avoid any pressure blows in the domestic water mains grid e.g. from an expansion tank or delay-closing valves etc.

Dimensioning of buffer storage tanks
Buffer storage tanks are used in the most varied of heating systems. They store hot water from when heated until its extraction when required and, in this way, bridge operating interruptions of the heat generators. Only correct dimensioning saves you from unnecessary energy consumption and costs.

Note: If it is a matter of the size of the buffer storage tank (tank capacity), then preference should preferably be given to the larger appropriate model. It must be appreciated here that the capacity of the buffer storage tanks increases four-squared to the diameter. This means that a larger buffer storage tank will always be higher than thicker. Please refer on this to our size chart as from Page 84.

Dimensioning of domestic water storage tanks
The size of the domestic water storage tank should be optimally dimensioned and designed to cater for needs to ensure that the heating system is run in an energy and cost-efficient manner. The number of people in the household and their hot water consumption determine the hot water requirements. The 6023 VDI directive proceeds on the assumption of a daily per head consumption of 30-50 litres of domestic hot water. This is in addition to a minimum 100 litres capacity which planning should also consider.

Did you know that......The extra large bare-tube heat exchangers are responsible for a high transferring capacity. This enables the storage tank to be quickly loaded and for the heat transfer from the heat pumps to be optimized. A marked lowering of the return flow temperature also considerably raises the condensing effect of condensing boilers.

Short and heat-insulated connecting lines minimise the pressure and cooling losses of the heating station. By means of a central control unit, by using high-efficiency pumps, a freshwater station with circulation for drinking water heating and the integ-ration of regenerative solar heating, costs for current and heating energy are saved during operation.

The Huch small-capacity heat pump uses renewable energies in highly efficient manner. It is a cost-effective and ecologically sound solution for detached environmentally-compatible detached and semi-detached hou-ses. The heat pumps come as an all-in system with the EBS-PU 300 as well as individually for subsequent storage tank installation by way of the flange for storage tanks over 200 litres (see Page 24/25). Enjoy the best possible comfort in hot water and heat.
VARIO S2-E with integrated electric heating You need an extra flange set - which is separately available - for assembly. Flange set: Flange adapter, sealing rings, insulation sleeve.

Integrated stratification guide channels ensure perfect heat management and maximum efficiencies. The SKSE / SKSV combined storage tanks are equipped with a 200 litres inner tank (enamelled or stainless steel) on the basis of the tank-in-tank principle for domestic water heating. The SKSW combined storage tanks have a stainless steel corru-gated tube system (5 m² or 8 m²) for domestic water heating. The SKSP combined buffer storage tanks are suitable for assembly of a domestic water heater (inner tank or stainless steel corrugated tube) at a later date.

Series type R built-in electric heatings for enamelled storage unitsThe series type R built-in heatings are suited for a max. operating pressure of 10 bar; depending on their power, they include a corresponding number of high-quality tubular heaters which are mounted on a flange plate by means of a separately applied protective current resistor. The heating power is controlled by means of an externally adjustable thermostat. Moreover, each built-in heating is equipped with a safety temperature limiter which switches off the heating at all poles if the temperature controller fails. The complete wiring, control devices and connecting clamps are covered by black plastic caps. The required type of built-in heating can be selected from the provided table on the basis of the desired power and installation position, the available installation length and the required heating groups. For article 13598 (RSW 15 kW), a contactor control is required. The combination with CrNi (NIRO) boilers is problematic and thus not recommendable.

§ 1 ScopeAll agreements, offers and deliveries are carried out exclusively on the basis of the business conditions given below. Thus, they also apply to future business relations, even if they are not separately agreed upon.Differing, conflicting or supplementary General Terms and Conditions of Business shall not, even upon knowledge thereof, become part of the contract, unless their application is expressly agreed to in writing Terms and conditions of the contrac-ting party that we have not expressly acknowledged are invalid.§ 2 Delivery contract1 Our offers are without obligation. Technical changes as well as changes in form, colour and/or weight are reserved
within reasonable limits.2 Dimensions, weights, illustrations and drawings, including all information and illustrations in brochures and catalogues,
shall only be binding if this is expressly agreed in writing. Information and illustrations contained in brochures and catalogues are, in accordance with usual trade practice, regarded as approximations unless they have been expressly described by us as binding. In the event that any of the parties to the contract provides the other party with designs or technical documents with regard to the goods to be delivered or their production, such material shall remain the property of the providing party.
3 Partial deliveries are permissible within our specified delivery times, provided that this does not result in disadvanta-ges for the use of the goods.
4 Once the customer places an order for a product they declare their intention to buy the ordered goods as binding. We are entitled to accept the contractual offer made in the order within two weeks after receipt by our company. Accep-tance can be declared either in writing or by the delivery of goods to the customer.
5 If the customer has ordered the merchandise via electronic channels, we shall save the contract text and supply it to the customer on request along with these General Terms and Conditions by e-mail.
6 In the event of industrial disputes or unusual and unforeseeable events, such as actions of a government or any other state authority, traffic interruptions and/or force majeure, we shall be entitled to carry out the delivery only after the problem concerned has been rectified or be exempt from the obligation to deliver, if delivery is rendered impossible. The supplier shall notify the buyer without delay of the beginning and the end of any such event.
7 The quality of the goods is based solely on the agreed technical delivery regulations. If we are to deliver according to drawings, specifications, patterns etc. provided by the customer, then the customer shall accept the risk of the product's suitability for its intended use. The instant of passing the risks is decisive for the contractual condition of the goods. In this respect, we shall be liable only for the proper processing. If not expressly agreed upon, we shall not be held respon-sible for determining the material quality nor for any defects caused by corrosion.
§ 3 Delivery periods1 Unless otherwise agreed, we deliver "ex works". For meeting the delivery date or the delivery deadline, the notification by
us that the consignment is ready for shipping or collection is decisive.2 Delivery times are binding only if we have expressly designated them as such and confirmed them in written form.3 The period for delivery begins with the dispatch of the confirmation of order, but not before the provision [...] of any do-
cuments, approvals and clearances to be furnished if necessary by the customer and before the receipt of any agreed down payment. If, at a later stage, errors are detected in the order documents or drawings or it is found that necessary technical information is missing, then the delivery time begins anew upon rectification of the problems concerned.
4 It is considered that the delivery deadline has been complied with, if the delivery object has left the supplier's factory before the expiry of this deadline or if the supplier has notified the readiness for shipping on his part.
5. Part deliveries are permissible within the delivery periods specified by us, as long as there are no disadvantages for the use thereof.
6. The conclusion of the contract is subject to the correct and timely self-delivery by our suppliers. This only applies to cases in which we are not culpable for the non-delivery, in particular if a congruent coverage transaction is concluded with our supplier.7. If the delivery is not made at the agreed delivery date for reasons for which the customer is responsible, the purchaser
shall default in acceptance without a separate deadline being required by us. Each new delivery date must be confirmed by us in writing.
§ 4 Payment1 Unless otherwise agreed, all prices shall be ex works, i.e. plus a flat rate for shipping and plus the applicable VAT. Any
discount for cash must be agreed separately. We consider ourselves bound by the prices quoted by us and the terms of payment for the period indicated in the quotation. After the expiration of this period, we shall be entitled to make a reasonable price adjustment.
2. If the delivery can not be made within the deadline stated in the confirmation of order, we are entitled to demand negot-iations on an appropriate price adjustment. If an agreement cannot be reached within 6 weeks after our call for nego-tiations, we shall be entitled to cancel the contract and charge already rendered services and expenses on the basis of the contract price. The invoice amount shall be due within the agreed payment targets. If the customer defaults in payment, they shall pay interest on the monetary debt at a rate of 8 per cent points above the basic rate of interest of the EZB during the default in payment. We reserve the right to prove and assert higher damage caused by said default.
3 The customer may only exercise any rights of retention if their counterclaim is based on the same contractual relati-onship. The client is only entitled to set off counterclaims subject to final judgement or if accepted by us.
4 Non-compliance with the agreed payment conditions, and circumstances that become known to us after the conclusi-on of the contract and lead us to fear that the ordering party will be unable to pay in time, entitle us to request a security payment for all the claims from the delivery contract, regardless of the due date, and to suspend work until the security has been paid.
5 In the case of delayed payment we may suspend fulfilment of our obligations up to receipt of the payments after written notification of the purchaser.
6 Bills of exchange and cheques will only be accepted where this has been agreed, and only on account of performance and on condition that they may be discounted. Discount charges will be calculated from the due date for payment of the invoice amount. A guarantee that the bill and cheque will be presented on time and for the bill protest is precluded.
7. Price changes are permissible if more than four months have elapsed between the conclusion of the contract and the agreed delivery date (also for partial deliveries and partial installments). If, thereafter until completion of the delivery, the wages or material costs increase, we shall be entitled to increase the price appropriately in correspondence with the cost increases. The customer is only entitled to cancel if the price increase does not or not considerably exceed the consumer price index between the time of ordering and delivery.§ 5 Shipping and Transfer of Risk1 Goods reported as ready for dispatch shall be taken over by the partner without delay. Otherwise we shall be entitled
at our discretion to despatch or store them at the expense and risk of the partner.2. In the absence of any special agreement, we will select the means of transport and the transport route.3 With transfer to the railway, the forwarding or shipping company or with the start of the storage, at the latest however with
the departure from the plant or warehouse, the risk shall pass to the partner even if we have taken over the delivery.4 Insurance cover for transit damage is provided only on request and at the cost of the customer.§ 6 Default in delivery1 If we are able to anticipate that it will not be possible for the goods to be delivered within the delivery period, we will
immediately inform the partner of the reasons for this, and also if possible indicate the probable delivery date.2 In the event of delivery being delayed by one of the circumstances as set forth in § 2, or as a result of any action or
omission on the part of the partner, an extension of the delivery period will be granted appropriate to the circumstances.3 The partner is only entitled to withdraw from the contract if we are responsible for the delivery date not being met and
the partner has allowed us a reasonable period of grace without result.§ 7 Retention of title1 We reserve the title in the goods until full payment of any accounts receivable from a current business relationship,
irrespective of the legal foundation on which it is based. In case of running account, retention of title is deemed as security for our balance claims. This is even applicable when payments are made by the customer on especially desi-gnated claims.
2 The customer shall be obligated to treat the goods delivered with due care. Where maintenance and inspection work is necessary, the customer must carry this out regularly and at their own cost.
3 The processing or alteration of the reserved goods shall always be made for us as the manufacturer without our incur-ring any obligation from this. When processing or reorganisation of the reserved goods with other goods not delivered by us, the co-ownership of the new object is entitled to us according to the ratio of the reserved goods' value to the value of the other product which has been processed and reorganized at the time of processing or reorganization. In case our ownership of the reserved goods expires due to connection or confusion, the customer already now assigns their (co)-ownership of the new object or of the commingled merchandise to the amount of the invoiced value of the reserved goods to us and keeps them safe free of charge for us. The new object (called "new object" in the following), created by processing, reorganization, connection or confusion, or the (co)-ownership of the new object being the entitled or assigned to us according to subsection 2 of this section, respectively, serves to secure our claim in the same way as the reserved goods according to subsection 1 themselves. Unless nothing divergent arises from the following provisions regarding these subsections, this securing of claims is to be applied accordingly to the new object.
4 The customer may further sell the reserved goods only within the framework of the correct business transactions, subject to the usual business conditions and only as long as they do not default their payment obligations towards us. The customer is obliged on their part to further sell the reserved goods subject to reservation of title only and to ensure that the claims arising from such disposal activities may be transferred to us.
5. The customer's claim arising from the resale of the reserved goods is already assigned to us. These claims serve as a security to the same extent as the goods under reservation of ownership. If the customer sells the retained goods together with other goods that were delivered by other parties, then the assignment of the account receivable extends only to the pro-rata amount of invoice that represents the retained goods resold. The assignment of claims as regards the sale of the goods as stipulated in subsection 2 or in the legal provisions regulating the connection and confusion of the object of which we are co-proprietor shall be applied in the amount of our partial ownership.6 If the customer includes accounts receivables from retained goods resold in a mercantile current account relationship
that The preceding sub-paragraph is applied in so doing.7 The customer is entitled to retract the claim arising from the further sale of the reserved goods that had been assigned
to us. They are not entitled, however, to assign the claim arising from the further sale, not even in the context of a genuine factoring contract.
8 In this case the customer is obliged to immediately inform their buyers of the assignment of the claim as well as to hand over to us any documents, certificates and information necessary to justify and implement the claim.
9 If the realizable value of the securities at our disposal exceeds our secured claims by more than 15 %, we are prepared, upon request by the customer, to release securities, chosen by us, to this extent.
10 The customer is obliged to notify us immediately of any levy of execution or any other legal or actual hazard for the retained goods or for the other collateral that exists for our benefit.
11 The customer pledges to sufficiently insure the reserved goods against fire and theft. The customer hereby assigns to us in advance its claims from insurance contracts.
12 If the customer breaches the contract, particularly in the event of payment default or infringement of one of the obli-gations of this section, we have the right to cancel the contract and require the return of the goods. For this case, the customer already now agrees to our removing or having the reserved goods removed which were with the customer or - in the case of us being the sole owners - the new object as per subsection 2 of this section, respectively. For the purpose of undertaking these measures as well as for the purpose generally inspecting the retained goods or the new object, the purchaser shall grant us, or persons authorized by us, access to their premises at any time.
§ 8 Warranty1 We are not liable for material defects which result from unsuitable or inappropriate use, incorrect assembly commissi-
oning by the customer or third parties, usual wear, incorrect or careless treatment, as well as for the consequences of inappropriate changes and modifications or repairs, made without our consent by the purchaser or third parties. The same applies for defects that only negligibly reduce the value or serviceability of the goods.
2 We must be given the chance to ascertain the reported defect. The corresponding goods are to be sent back to us immediately on demand. Should the customer fail to observe this obligation, or make modifications to such goods without our approval, they will lose any rights they may have on the grounds of product deficiency.
3 Initial warranty for defective merchandise is initially provided in the form of remedial repair or replacement according to our choice.4 If the subsequent performance fails, the customer may generally at its discretion demand a lowering of the payment
(reduction) or termination of the contract (withdrawal). In the event of a minor infringement of the contract, particularly for marginal defects, the customer is not entitled to cancel the contract.
5 In the case of obvious defects, the customer is obliged to immediately notify us in written form, at the latest within two weeks as of the receipt of the goods. Otherwise, assertion of the warranty claim shall be excluded. The punctual dispatch is sufficient for compliance with the warranty conditions. The customer shall be fully subject to the onus of proof for any reasons for claims, in particular for the defects as such, for the time of detecting the defect and for any notification of the defect being made in due course. In the case of acceptance having been agreed with the customer, the goods shall be considered approved upon acceptance. Otherwise, the assertion of the warranty claim is excluded and the goods shall be deemed approved, unless the defect is one that could not be detected during the careful ins-pection at the acceptance.
6 In case the customer chooses cancellation of the contract after the subsequent performance due to a defect failed, they shall not be able to claim additionally compensation for this defect. If the customer should choose to claim compensation for failure of subsequential fulfilment, the delivery item remains with the customer, provided that this is acceptable to them. The compensation is limited to the difference between the purchase price and the value of the defective good. The above shall not apply should we be guilty of malicious contract infringement. For contractors, the warranty term is 1 year from the delivery of goods. This does not apply if the customer has not informed us promptly of a defect. (Subsection 3 of this provision).
7 Generally only the product description of the manufacturer shall be deemed to be the agreed characteristics of the goods. Public statements, claims or advertisements by the manufacturer (of the product or individual components thereof) do not constitute contractually guaranteed characteristics of the goods. If the customer receives deficient assembly instructions, we shall be merely obligated to supply error-free assembly instructions and this also only if the error in the assembly instructions stands in the way of proper assembly. If, due to reasons we are not responsible for, the products manufactured by us cannot be delivered within the agreed time, those parts that have already been manufactured will be parked in unroofed and unmonitored storage areas at the orderer's expense and risk. In this case, the warranty period shall commence with the storage of the goods. As remuneration for storing the manufactured goods, we charge 1 % of the overall order sum for every month of storage commenced. The storage costs become payable on conclusion of the respective month of storage.
8 Claims against us in case of ordinary and minor negligence are limited to the total contract value.§ 9 Other claims, liability1 Unless specified otherwise below, other claims and claims of a wider scope against us on the part of the partner are
excluded This particularly applies to claims for compensation arising from infringement of duty from contractual obligations and from tortuous acts. Therefore, we will not compensate lost profits or other damage to the assets of the partner.
2 The above mentioned limitations of liability shall not apply for malice aforethought and gross negligence of our legal representatives or senior employees or for culpable breaches of essential contractual obligations. In the event of culpable breach of substantial contractual obligations, we shall - except in cases of deliberate acts or gross negligence on the part of our lawful representatives or executives - only be liable in respect of the damage which is typical of the contract and reasonably foreseeable.
3 To the extent that our liability is excluded or limited, this applies equally to the personal liability of our employees, workers, personnel, legal representatives and vicarious agents.
§ 10 Confidentiality1 Each of the contracting parties undertakes to use all documents (including samples, patterns and data) and knowledge
which they receive in the course of the business relationship for the jointly pursued purpose and to maintain their secrecy towards third parties with the same care as exercised with regard to their own equivalent property if these are designated as confidential or the other party has an obvious interest in maintaining their secrecy. This obligation commences with the first receipt of documents or knowledge and terminates 36 months after the end of the business relationship. We claim copyright protection for our quotation and contract documents, drawings, drafts and const-ruction details including all variants. They must not be copied or made accessible to third parties without our prior consent. Any use by the ordering party or any other third party requires our prior written consent and will be charged accordingly.
2 This obligation shall not apply to documents and knowledge which are generally known or which were already known on receipt without the partner being committed to confidentiality, or which were subsequently transferred by a third party entitled to pass them on or which were developed by the receiving contractual partner without the use of con-fidential documents or knowledge of the other contractual partner. In case a contract is not awarded, any documents provided by us must be returned to us without request within 6 working days at the latest.
§ 11 Final provision1 The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply. The provisions of the UN Sales Convention shall not apply.2 For all conflicts resulting from this contract, if the customer is a qualified merchant, a corporate body under public
law or a public law entity with special public funds, claims are to be filed at the court which is responsible for our head office. We are also entitled to file a suit at the customer's head office location. This applies even if the customer does not have a general place of jurisdiction in Germany or their place of residence or everyday domicile are not known at the time of institution of legal proceedings.
3 The place of performance is 16818 Werder.4 lf individual provisions of the contract with the customer including these standard conditions and terms of business
should be or become partly or wholly legally invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions will not be affected by this. The regulation which is totally or partially ineffective will be replaced by a regulation which will approximate the economical success of the ineffective regulation as closely as possible.
5 Any transfers of rights and obligations of the customer arising from the contract concluded with us require our written consent in order to be legally valid.
