Setting a context

• Some workspaces have a context tool—this lets you apply a single time period and set of employees to all of its widgets

Context limitations

• A context is only applied to a widget if the selections apply to that widget

Manager Alerts, Workspaces, and Widgets

Manager alert types

• Managers typically see more types of alerts than employees. These might include:– Exceptions Alert — Lists the number of employees who have

timecard exceptions– Request Manager Alert — Lists the number of pending requests

generated from Request Manager– Time-Off Request Alert — Lists the number of weeks for which there

are time-off requests– Metrics Alert — Lists the number of times that a defined productivity

metrics target has not been met– Schedule Alert — Lists the number of open shifts for the pre-defined

time period

• Exceptions helps you quickly view all exceptions by category, and address them as needed

What is a wizard?

• Wizard = a specially-designed widget that guides you through a series of steps to perform a business task

Non-sequential wizards

• Some wizards are non-sequential—you can perform the steps in any order, and can even skip certain steps

Sequential wizards

• Some wizards are sequential—you must perform the steps in a strict sequence

Initial Step

• Some wizards’ initial step defines the Time Period and HyperFind/Location used with each subsequent step

Getting helpful info

• Click the ? icon on a step to display helpful information about that step

Accessing other WFC pages

• Some wizards have a Related Information list that lets you access WFC pages while working through the wizard

Completing a wizard

• Click Clear or Done when you are ready to complete a wizard

Returning to a wizard

• If you need to leave a wizard in mid-process, you can come back to it later
