The Curriculum BSM teaches an adapted form of the National Curriculumof England in Years 1-9, with Year 10 and Year 11 studentsstudying (I)GCSE courses examined by Edexcel orCambridge International Examinations. The results at(I)GCSE compare favourably with the best international and UK schools.
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme isa demanding 2 year pre-university course that leads toexternal examinations and is designed for highly motivated high school students aged 16-19. At BSM it istaught to students in Years 12 and 13. For over 30 yearsthe programme has earned a reputation for rigorousassessment, giving IB Diploma holders access to the world’sleading universities. The curriculum emphasises criticalthinking, intercultural understanding, research skills andcommunity service. The IB Diploma score is based on ascoring system of 1 to 7 with a total of 45 points available.including a maximum of 3 bonus points for CAS, TOK and EE.

University Matriculation for Classes from 2012 to 2015
The British School Manila is a co-educational, fee paying, not for pro�t school in the Philippines; it was founded in 1976 with 32 students. The School now has over 900 students on roll from Nursery to Year 13 from 37 nations. The top �ve nationalities represented are the UK (32%), Philippines (9%), Australia (9%), Canada (6%) and the USA (6%). Our teachers are either UK or Commonwealth trained and experienced in the delivery of the UK curriculum; our medium of instruction is English. Our maximum class size is 24 students with the exception of Years 12-13 where we aim for a maximum class size of 16. The vision and mission of BSM is to develop students who are global citizens, equipped with skills, understanding and values to be able and willing to contribute positively to their world. BSM is an accredited member of the Council of International Schools and a member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA). The School has an excellent record of placing students at top Universities and Colleges; the majority of our graduates attend institutions in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and the Philippines.
