Hereissomeinformationthatyoushouldknowbeforestartingyourtour.Ridingabilities.Firstofall,youdon’tneedtobeanoff-roadexperttojoinourtours.You’llneedaminimum

of1-2yearexperienceonyourmotorcycleandforeachtourwehavespecifiedwhich

experienceyou’llneed.

TheUganda‘ExtremeEast’tourisalevel2/3allroadtour,andisperfectforthosewhohave

someexperiencewithoff-roadridingand/orjoineda(2days)off-roadcourse.

Thedayscanbelong,dependingonmanyfactors(punctures,weatheretc.),soyouhaveto

becomfortableinmostsituationsinordernottosufferfatiguetoquickly.Thepaceis

relaxed,itisnotacompetition.Wearetraveling,notracingandwilltakeabreakfrequently.

Therewillbetimeenoughtotakepictures,movies,restetc.Onthelongertourswehave

restingdaystoenjoyallthelocalculturalhighlightsandtorefuelofenergy.Wedowantto

emphasizethatforouroff-roadtoursthatyouneedtobehealthyandinagoodphysical

condition.Theriding,incombinationwiththeweathercanmakeitchallengingenstrenuous.

offcoursepermotorbike.Althoughtheroadsareverychallengingforcars,themorefunitis

forustoridethemonmotorbikes.

ClimateUganda.TheclimateinEast-Ugandaissemi-arid.Someyearsdroughtsarecommon.Temperatures

canreachashighas40°C/104°F,butaveragearound29°C/84°Fintheafternoonand

17°C/63°Fatnight.Altitudesrangefrom999mto2720m(3278-8924ft),resultinginclimatic

changeswithinthepark(temperaturesdropbyabout6.5°Cforevery1000m/3.5°Fper

1000ftyouclimb).Thereisonewetseason(differingfromtwoWetseasonsinmostofthe

country)fromApriltoAugust.ThendryseasonisfromSeptembertoMarch.

September,October&November–Itmightstillrainsomedaysasthewetseason

transitionsintothedryseason.Itisgettingwarmer,withaveragetemperaturesofabout

29°C/84°Fintheafternoonand17°C/63°Finthemorning.

Wetseason–ApriltoAugust.April,May,June,July&August-Afternoonshowersshouldbe

expected.WhencomparedtotheWetseasonsoftheparksinthesouth,thereisn’talotof

rainfall.Thelowestyearlytemperaturesareexperienced,butthedaytimestillaverages

around27°C/81°F,withmorningtemperaturesaround17°C/63°F.
