Chelsea continues, but they were given an unexpected
scare by Arsenal. Olivier Giroud handed the London club
the perfect start, after only three minutes.

the first time this season Jupp Heynckes men drew a
blank.

Porto turning around a one-nil first leg defeat in Portugal.

I NOTICED THAT PERUZZI WAS OFTEN STANDING
TOO FAR FROM HIS GOAL; AND IN FACT I ACTUALLY
CAME ONTO THE PITCH WITH THAT IN MY MIND,
THINKING: PERUZZI IS TOO FAR FROM HIS GOAL,
PERUZZI IS TOO FAR FROM HIS GOAL. AND THEN
THERE WAS THE SITUATION WHERE ANDREAS
MULLER PASSED ME THE BALL 5 SECONDS AFTER I
CAME ONTO THE PITCH, AND THAT DEVELOPED
INTO A GREAT CHANCE; EVEN THE TV REPORTERS
IN THEIR BOXES WERE SHOUTING LOB THE
KEEPER, SOMETHING LIKE THAT. SO IN THAT
MOMENT I WAS LUCKY: YOU SCORE A GOAL LIKE
THAT IN ONE OUT OF 10 ATTEMPTS, AND I HADNT
EVEN TOUCHED THE BALL YET THAT DAY. BUT THIS
ONE TIME IT WORKED, AND DESTINY WAS ON MY
SIDE.
