Monarchy
uPower is held by one person who has been born into the ruling family.
uMonarchs may rule for life.
uMany monarchs have constitutions they must follow.

Oligarchy
uCountry is ruled by a small group of wealthy or powerfulpeople.
u In this form of government, the power is held by the rich or elite.

Autocracy

Communism
uGovernment (in the name of the people) controls the whole economy.
uCommunist countries are usually ruled by a strong Communist dictator and the Communist political party.

uGovernment takes an active role in controlling the economy.
uProtects the people from private businesses that might take advantage of them.
