Good Morning! We're glad to have you with us today. As you wait for the service to begin, ask the Holy Spirit to prepare your heart for worship; during the service, humble yourself to receive His Word; after the service, go forth to share His Word with others with great joy!

God’s Word Directs Our Life & Worship
Psalm 119:65-72 You have dealt well with your servant, O LORD, according to your word. Teach me good
judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments. Before I was afflicted
I went astray, but now I keep your word. You are good and do good; teach me your
statutes. The insolent smear me with lies, but with my whole heart I keep your
precepts; their heart is unfeeling like fat, but I delight in your law. It is good for me
that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes. The law of your mouth is better to
me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
Praising God
God Calls His People to Worship Psalm 113:1-3
Led by Ruling Elder Tom Seymour, & Pastors Bob Eickelberg & Mike Wolcott
*God’s People Respond with Praise No 53
Praise to the Lord the Almighty
*God’s People Ask for God’s Blessing (Invocation)
3
*God’s People Profess Their Faith The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy
Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified,
died, and was buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the
dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father
Almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
* “catholic” means “universal”
*Gloria Patri Henry W. Greatorex
The Heidelberg Catechism Lord’s Day 30
80. Q. How does the Lord’s Supper differ from the Roman Catholic Mass?
A. The Lord’s Supper declares to us that all our sins are completely forgiven
through the one sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which he himself accomplished on the
cross once for all. It also declares to us that the Holy Spirit grafts us into Christ, who
with his true body is now in heaven at the right hand of the Father where he wants
us to worship him.
81. Q. Who should come to the Lord’s table?
A. Those who are displeased with themselves because of their sins, but who
nevertheless trust that their sins are pardoned and that their remaining weakness is
covered by the suffering and death of Christ, and who also desire more and more to
strengthen their faith and to lead a better life. Hypocrites and those who are
unrepentant, however, eat and drink judgment on themselves.
4
82. Q. Should those be admitted to the Lord’s Supper who show by what they profess and
how they live that they are unbelieving and ungodly?
A. No, that would dishonor God’s covenant and bring down God’s wrath upon the
entire congregation. Therefore, according to the instruction of Christ and his apostles,
the Christian church is duty-bound to exclude such people, by the official use of the keys
of the kingdom, until they reform their lives.
Facing Up to Our Sin Before God
God Instructs His People in His Standards Exodus 20:1-3 And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the
land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before me”.
God’s People Respond by Confession of Sin
God Assures His People of His Grace in Christ Romans 3:21-24
But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law
and the Prophets bear witness to it — the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of
God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

God’s People Respond with Thanksgiving & Petitions Morning Prayer and The Lord's Prayer Matthew 6:9B-13 (KJV) (ALT.) “Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be
done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” For
Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Adult Sunday School Classes:
Departing in Peace – Decisions at the end of life create deep anxiety for those involved, but
it is possible to find peace and comfort amid the hard choices. Using the book by Bill Davis,
Professor at Covenant College and RTS Theological Seminary, this discussion class is relevant
for all ages, and is being led by Matt Ebling and John McCurdy.
Reformation Profiles – video by Stephen Nichols - This series will chronicle important
figures in the Reformation and illustrates how they championed salvation by grace alone
through faith alone in Christ alone for the glory of God alone. This course is being led by Mike
Wolcott and John Colt.
Women’s Ministry Sunday School: The Women’s Ministry will be continuing their study
of the book, “God’s Cranky Prophets: Jonah & Habakkuk - A Bible Study on Responding in
Faith When You Don’t Like What God Is Doing” by Marci Ogrosky. Michelle Coleman is

These are short commitments and we will mail a reminder card to you. Thank you!
College Prayer Partners – Would you consider making a commitment to praying for a
college student this coming school year? You will pray regularly for a student who is attending
college. That is it, nothing else needed. If you want to send notes, care packages or try to talk
with them when they are home from school, then you can do that. But we want to have
someone from home committing to praying for our college students weekly. If you would be
willing to do this, then please fill out today’s bulletin tear-off and hand in the offering plate or
the office, or e-mail Mike Wolcott at [email protected].
Found in our Sanctuary – In early summer, a glasses case was found in the sanctuary
containing some unique items. If you have lost this item, please call the church office to
identify the contents, 717-545-4271.
Ready, Set, Grow! Trinity’s Annual Produce Patch is back—Garden growers, if
you find yourself buried in berries or have tons of tomatoes consider sharing your
excess with our church’s produce table. All are invited to receive the “fruits” of
Trinity’s produce patch.

A Note of Thanks - Sue Miller would like to thank the congregation for the love shown to
her during her recent knee surgery through the many cards, phone calls, meals and prayers
offered on her behalf. Every day she sees improvement and feels very blessed to be a part of
the Body of Christ in such a significant way.
Volleyball—Men and women (9th grade and up) are invited to come play volleyball
each Monday from 7:00 – 9:00pm at Trinity. Contact Mike Wolcott with any
