TopGard concrete bollard caps provide a low cost alternative to traditional bollard hand finishing.
TopGard caps provide a class A form finish in half the
conventionally. With as much as 50o/o labor savings and no punch list Top Gard is a product made by contractors §
for contractors.
The TopGard cap is comprised of a proprietary 5000 psi fiber reinforced concrete mix design. This proprietary mix provides a finish unachievable by any traditional method. By utilizing the patent-pendi ng wet set design the Top Gard cap can be installed in as little as 10 seconds.
The TopGard cap can also be retrofitted to existing bollards to eliminate the mistakes left behind by traditional methods.
Available in 4", 6" and 8" diameters .

Terracon has completed freeze-thaw testing of three pre-cast Top Gard samples provided to Terracon’s Cincinnati, Ohio laboratory on November 27, 2012. Two of the three samples (Sample ID 9962A and 9962B) were 6-1/2” diameter and 2-1/4” tall, where the third (Sample ID 9962C) was 4-1/2” diameter and 1-1/4” tall. The concrete mix is reportedly air entrained 5000 psi design strength with 3/8” maximum aggregate size. Freeze-thaw testing was performed in general accordance with ASTM C-666 Method A. Samples were subjected to a total of 307 cycles, and were periodically removed for evaluation, consisting of visual rating and measurements of weight loss to assess durability. The table below summarizes the test results and corresponding rating.

The average weight loss for the samples is 0.5%, which is considered to be representative of concrete that exhibits a high resistance to freeze-thaw damage. Based on the results, this concrete is considered highly durable in environments where freeze-thaw conditions exist in the presence of saturating moisture.
