reef. Magkaganoon pa man, maniningil pa rin ang pamaha-laan, ani Abaya.
Its clearly in the TubbatahaLaw. Its incumbent (upon) ourgovernment to file for suchclaim, aniya.
Well, of course, he is mind-ful of that national treasure that
we havethe very asset of theTubbataha Reefsand he want-ed to make sure that we wouldbe proactive on this; we mini-mize damage, ani Abayatungkol sa Pangulo.
Nagpadala na ang US Navyng 10 diver nito upang alamin
ang kalagayan ng barko. We should have close coordi-nation with the Americans that
we shouldnt just allow them toconduct their salvage operationson their own. The plan shouldbe vetted, the plan should beconcurred in, ani Abaya. TQuismundo, PG Montecillo
I would like to remind every-one that the elections are justaround the corner. Let us be care-ful that the distribution of cards isnot used in political campaigns, ani Ona, na tumatayo na ringpangulo at CEO ng PhilHealthmatapos magbitiw si Dr. Eduardo
Banzon noong isang linggo.
a n g p a m a m a h a g i n g h e a l t hcards.The distribution of cards
shall not be endorsed to localpoliticians, aniya.
kalahatang serbisyong pangka-lusugan ngayong taon.
Clearly, there is a discrepan-cy between the membership cov-erage that we have reported and
what is really happening at thepoint of care, ani Ona. Jocelyn

CONTROVERSY Season 2013 has officially be-gun in local show biz. Just when netizens werestill shaking off the holiday hangover, Sun-
shine Cruzs intriguing posts on Twitter and Instagramcaused quite a stir.
This is a tough piece for meto write since I am very close toShine and her husband, Cesar
Montano. But duty calls so Ihave to comment about the rag-ing issue that involves Shine,Buboy and a certain KristaMiller.
The moment I saw ShinesInstagram posts of Kristas pic-tures and her stern warning tothe starlet whos a bit player inBuboys coming movie, The Al-
fredo Lim S tory, I got worried soI immediately texted Buboy andShine.
Buboys reply: What did
Shine post? Im still busy shoot-ing.
Shines reply: I know Buboyis a good father and provider. I
will pray that he finds real andhonest-to-goodness happinessand contentment with whoeverhe chooses. Kapakanan na lang
ng kids ko ang iisipin ko.Buboy and Shine have been
through worst. Hopefully, this
storm will also come to pass. AsBuboy once told me, Marriageshould be a union of two for-givers so that it will work.
By now, the couple shouldhave mastered the art of forgiv-ing and forgetting.
Hes definitely not a saint, al-though he has a way of makingup for his shortcomings. Shineknows that too well, otherwiseshe could have left him manycontroversies ago. She loveshim enough to always give him
another chance.Their marriage is truly worth
saving. It will be a terrible thingto waste.
Its good that Shine has nowdeleted the pics of Krista fromher IG account. Why dignify herexistence at all? Now the ex-
CESAR WOULD LIKE TO SEE A BONIFACIO BIO PICBy Marinel R. Cruz
CESAR Montano, who recentlybagged an award for playing An-dres Bonifacio in the Emilio
Aguinaldo bio pic El Presidente, has challenged filmmakers tomake a movie, this time, fromthe viewpoint of the countrysrevolutionary hero.
Reacting to comments that ElPr es id en te favored Aguinaldoand depicted Bonifacio as the
villain, Montano defended its di-
rector and writer Mark Meily bysaying: Lets first look into howhe came up with the story. Hesays he based everything onbook s and other documents
written about Aguinaldo.Montano told the I NQUIRER:
Most of those documents werewritte n at the time of Aguin al-dos rule. It was possible thatanyone caught saying thingsagainst him at that time was ex-ecuted. I think it would be inter-
esting to know Bonifacios story,
based on tales by the membersof Magdiwang or the Supremosliving relatives.
Magdiwang is one of two fac-tions in the revolutionary groupK a t i p u n a n w h i c h B o n i f a c i ofounded. At the t ime of theSpanish-Filipino war, Magdi-
wang sup ported Bonifacio in hisrift with Aguinaldo.
Montano said a movie aboutBonifacio would give youngergenerations a different perspec-tive of history. We owe it to
them to tell the Supremos sideof the story, he stressed. ElPresidente was an entry to therecently concluded 38th MetroManila Film Festival.
Moving on The 50-year-old actor has
since started shooting anotherbio pic, this time, on ManilaMayor Alfredo Lim. Montano isthe writer and director of TheTurning Cradle, which tells Limsstory from the time he was left
by his mother on the steps of the
Hospicio de San Jose in 1930, tohis rise as a decorated police of-ficer in the late 1960s.
Montano based his film onthe Nick Joaquin book May Lan-
git Din ang Mahirap.
He began filming on Nov. 26 ,with Melissa Ricks playing Limswife Amalia. The film is sched-uled for nationwide screeningon Feb. 27.
The actor-director said thebiggest challenge was to find alocation that would best depictManila in the 1960s. He addedthat he made sure The TurningCradle would be totally differentfrom three previous Lim bio pics.
I was very aware of those. Iworked hard on this script . We
want to tell a story that will givethe audience a glimpse of thingsthat happened in Lims life as a
young boy that shaped who he istoday, why he is dubbed as theman with a heart of steel and aniron fist. Hopefully, viewers willfind the answer in this movie,Montano said.
The Turning Cradle also fea-tures Tirso Cruz III, Nonie Buen-camino, Jackie Lou Blanco, Marc
Abaya, Alvin Anson, Alwin Uyt-
ingco and Gloria Romero.
