Jared Leto said that "The band's name actually comes from a thesis that the band found online that was written by a former Harvard professor. And one of the subsections of the thesis was titled thirty seconds to mars and he is saying that we are quite literally 30 seconds to mars.2. Discography30 Seconds to Mars (2002)

A Beautiful Lie (2005)

"everything on this album is about real human experience-Jared LetoA story of life, love, death, pain, joy, and passion. Of what it is to be human.-Jared Leto

This Is War (2009)

Love Lust Faith + Dreams (2013)"It was a two-year creative battle that was ferocious and tough but creatively rewarding

Jared sais that this is more than an evolution, it's a brand new beginning. Creatively, we've gone to an entirely new place, which is exciting, unexpected, and incredibly inspiring." 3. SymbolsThe GlyphsThe current set of glyphs is considered to be the "original" one, in the sense that these specific glyphs seem to be a creation of the band.

The first glyph is composed by two intertwined 3. Such combination provides a hole in the middle, composing "30", the first word (number) in the band's name.

The second glyph is a circle with clock hands, which are pointing counterclockwise. It represents Seconds.

The third glyph is the inverted Romanic symbol for 2: II (as a negative picture) which in English is read "two" - "to"

The fourth glyph represents Mars with its two moons around, Phobos and Deimos.

So this may be a very literal representation of Thirty Seconds To Mars. TriadProvehito in AltumProvehito in Altum represents the bands motto. Roughly translated from Latin, this means "Launch forth into the deep"; a more stylized version would be "Rocket in(to) High(ness)".

The triad appeared on the THIRD album. The triangle is one of the strongest of all geometric forms. Some have said that the three sides of the triangle represent the members of the band. The middle line probably represents the ECHELON, because it provides additional support and strength.4. Making ofThe Kill- is the third track that appears in their album A Beautiful Lie. This song is about a relationship with yourself. Its about confronting you fear, confronting with who you really are.The video is a homage to the Stanley Kubricks 1980 film The Shiningbased on Stephan Kings novel.

Several scenes are based on the film such as:

Matt Wachter is served drinks at the bar by doppelgnger apparition

The papers thatJared Letohas been typing are briefly made visible and the words on them appear to read, over and over, "This is who I really am."
