Our primary role is empowering PNG citizens to act against corrupion through our research and programs.

Our programs engage a broad spectrum of PNG citizens with a strong focus on youth
2Over the past 23 years we have
been in existence, TIPNG has initiated a number of programs
targeted at addressing corruption at various levels of PNG society,
from the grassroots all the way to the house of parliament.
The list of accolades we have won over the past two decades include championing a number
of initiatives like the replacement of the “First Past the Post (FPP)”
voting system with “Limited Preferential Voting (LPV)” in
2012; the passing of the “Organic Law on Political Parties and
Candidates” in 2010 and the Open Government Partnership in
(2018).

Our committment to the cause is legendary
3When we identify an issue that needs to be addressed, we don’t quit until we get results. Our push for sucessive PNG governments to establish an Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is a prime example of this. We took up this cause in 1997 and have been pursuing it ever since! We are in this for the long haul and our committment to corruption issues has lasted longer than the lifetimes of many govern-ments.

4Whether you know it or not, our victories are yours as well
Our innovative solutions to the scourge of corruption in PNG not
only reframe the conversation around corruption as an issue, but also sponsor the hope that
corruption is not inevitable, and that it can be stopped. Whether it’s efforts to facilitate referral of corruption complaints (through
our Advocacy and Legal Advice Center), teaching democratic principles to the next gener-
ation of Papua New Guineans (through our Civic Education
and Youth Integrity Programs) and our ongoing campaigns
for the establishment of an Idependent Commission Against
Corruption and the Extractive rties Transparency Initiative, our
work is tailored to include our stakeholders in the fight against
corruption.

We are Papua New Guineans, fighting for Papua New Guineans.
5Our eyes are wide open to the destruction of our institutions and ultimately our communities as a result of corruption. We pride ourselves on being able to lead the conversation on fighting corruption and being the glue that sticks together people who want to do something about this menace. People who believe that our nation is stronger than greed and values more than just money. If you feel the same way, then you belong here with us.
