Congregational Gathering: We will gather for a meeting that will include voting for members on the Board of Elders and Board of Directors, a vote to approve the annual Financial Ministry Plan, and a vote related to an exciting ministry of Early Childhood and Worship at Peace School. All current members of Peace are invited to gather for this meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 6:30pm at Peace School, 3161 Lawndale (Lawndale at Shattuck). Prior to the meeting of May 20, “Informational Gathering” meetings will take place. The purpose of these meetings is to update you on specific structural work planned for Peace School this summer and preview Early Childhood and Worship ministry at Peace School. The “Informational Gathering” meetings are scheduled for Saturday, May 9, after service at the school; Sunday, May 10, at church in the ChristCare Room; and Monday, May 18, at 7:30pm, in the Church Parlor. Vacation Bible School is just around the corner! VBS will be held June 15 - 19, 9am-noon at our Lawndale Campus. All children are welcome, 3 years old through those entering 6th grade. Our theme this year is EVEREST "Conquering Challenges with God's Mighty Power." VBS
needs many hands to serve during this week, so please prayerfully consider serving to share the love of Jesus with our community! Online registration for serving opportunities and participants is available now on our peacesaginaw.org website. VBS is a free event. Questions? Contact Sheila Wazny at 989.793.9025. Lost & Found: We now have a large plastic tub in the gym on top of the coat racks where lost and found articles will be placed. Upcoming changes for Sunday Morning Children’s Ministries: This fall, the 11:15 Kids Connection will be replaced with Sunday Bible Club which will be offered at both the 9:30 and 11:15am services, starting in September 2015. If interested in this ministry, complete the form on Peace’s website. Sunday Morning Children's Ministries have many opportunities to serve: Storyteller, Crafts, Family Greeter, Music, and Snack Coordinator. There is flexibility in how often you serve: twice a month, once a month, every six weeks, etc. A form to express interest in serving in this ministry is posted on our website (peacesaginaw.org) on the rolling banner at the top of our home page. Please contact Sheila Wazny with any questions at [email protected] or 989. 793.9025.
