PASTOR’S NOTE
“Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.”
John 8:36 HCSB
We celebrate our nation’s 244th year of Independence. Our Founding Fa-thers had a vision of a nation whose government would be led by the peo-ple, not a monarch or dictator. It would be a nation under God, and its citizens free from government tyranny. Though we thank God for the freedom we en-joy as citizens, our greatest freedom comes from our God and Savior,
Jesus Christ. He sets us free from sin and guilt, darkness and hopeless-ness. Celebrate our nation’s freedom, and pray for God’s healing mercy. Cel-ebrate our freedom in Christ above all, for in Him, we are free for eternity. Our Vacation Bible School will be virtu-al. It will be July 19-21. The theme is: “Concrete and Cranes: Building on the Love of Jesus.” Children who register on-line through our website: zionhillbuford.org, will receive a packet with a Bible, a T-shirt, a book-let, a craft, a bookmark, a snack, and a letter from Pastor Danny. Students may watch on-line through our web-site. Pray that we will have many chil-dren watch our virtual VBS, and that they will give their lives to Christ. If you have specific questions, please con-
tact: Pat Collins at 404-202-3148, or Kathy Taylor at 770-271-7341, or Bethany Newbern at 678-936-2751. We are meeting for worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00. We clean each week, and we ask that everyone prac-tice social distancing. You are wel-come to wear a mask, but you are not required to do so. You may continue to view our service and our Wednesday evening Bible study at 6:30 on our Facebook page: Zhbc Buford. Thank you for your faithfulness during this time of a pandemic and unrest in our nation. Continue to pray for our state and nation during this difficult time. In case you don’t know—I love being your pastor!
