The Autumn Leaves of Red and Gold… If you love to witness the changing colors of the fall foliage, here are some sug-
gested hot spots for maximum leaf-watching.
Close by: one can see all sorts of beautiful hues simply by taking a walk to the
Villa Roma timeshares toward the stables. Turn around at the top of the hill and gaze
at the valley below.
Near by: drive to the town of Narrowsburg NY, and follow route 97 down
through Hawks Nest. Some of the most gorgeous scenery in the state awaits you.
Farther away: some of the best leafing on the east cost can be had each fall by
following the Shawangunk Mountains Scenic Byway to New Paltz NY. While there,
be sure to visit historic Huguenot Street. Some of the oldest original stone houses in
the United States can be found there, along with an intriguing old church and ceme-
tery with gravestones dating back to the 1600’s.
GHOSTLY HAUNTS OF THE CATSKILL mOUNTAINS* ...late at night, when the north wind moans, In a long black veil, she cries over my bones

individuals actions or the possible repercussions, both emotional and psychic, thereof.
The Shanley Hotel - A truly spooky hotel in Napanoch New York, The Shanley has been no
stranger to paranormal occurrences and ghostly activity, due to the discovery of a hidden room, and the
unleashing of its dark secrets.
Sheahan Hall Marist College - If you dare to stay at this horrifically haunted college hall
in Poughkeepsie New York, and you happen to see a sad-eyed young woman with long dark hair, say
hello to poor Shelley. Whatever you do, don’t tell her you don’t believe in ghosts...
Stone Arch Bridge – By day, Jeffersonville New York’s Stone Arch Bridge Park is as lovely a
spot for a family picnic and a short hike as any place one might imagine. On any given dark and moonlit
night however, intrepid souls who decide to visit the bridge at midnight may find themselves witness to an
altogether different sort of scene. In 1882, a rare Pennsylvania Dutch hex murder took place on the site. To
this day, some say that the grisly event can be seen, recreated, as the body of George Markert is tossed
from the bridge into the icy waters below by his father-in-law Adam Heidt and brother-in-law Joseph.
Burn Brae Mansion - Glen Spey New York’s Burn Brae Mansion is a 110 year old Victorian
mansion that has a long history of mysterious sounds and bone-chilling sights. Paranormal investigations
have revealed a bounty of strange phenomena reports. Ghost hunting groups for interested members of the
general public can be arranged for a fee.
Dundas Castle - Also known as Craig-E-Clare, this haunted site is an abandoned castle near Ros-
coe New York. Dundas castle has had a sad family history associated with it, and is now on the National
Register of Historic Places. The few folks who have explored it make note that above all else, the base-
ment is best avoided. As it is abandoned, it is strongly advised that visiting the grounds is strictly off lim-
its. Very interesting photographs and historical descriptions can be found by researching the castle online,
which is the recommended form of exploring this fascinating building.
Wayne Hotel - Featured in a 2013 episode of television’s Ghost Detectives, Honesdale Pennsyl-
vania’s Wayne Hotel is rife with apparitions, and has been for many years since it’s ground breaking in
1827. According to the current owner, they know of at least a couple of murders having taken place in
some of the rooms. The unfortunate women who were the victims still reside there today, as does a former
hotel cook whose spirit is said to inhabit the basement of the building. These are only the tip of the ghostly
iceberg, as 15 separate spirits have been identified on site. If the eyes of the portrait of town founder Philip
Hone seem to be following you...they probably are!

Catskill Paranormal is a para-research and investiga-
tive group whose main objective is to document and provide
explanation for reported hauntings and paranormal activity
in and around Upstate New York. We are based in Sullivan
County. We document the unexplained after first attempting
to debunk and find cause for the otherwise "strange" occur-
rences. We are also committed to assisting those who are
seeking answers, confirmation as well as resolution to their
personal paranormal experiences both past and present.
There is never a charge for our services.
We are a 3 member group consisting of Rich Justus,
John Rudy, and Bruce Pesci. We sometimes include female
members to assist us in communicating with children or
other spirits who may communicate better through women.
We have just added a new member to our group, Spiritualist
White Eagle who is a Native American Ceremonial Chief.
He has been in the business for over 30 years. He does
cleansings and communicates with the spirits to receive
messages from them.
We have been a team for 10 years plus and have en-
countered many different types of cases. From residential
homes to local businesses we have covered quite a few
counties in upstate New York and Pennsylvania. Some of
our equipment includes audio recorders, spirit boxes, ovilus,
rem pods, kinect and thermal cameras, IR and full spectrum
cameras, K2 meters, laser grids, and an EDI+ meter that
measures EMF, ambient temperature, vibration sensor, pres-
sure and humidity and all of the readings can be logged to an
sd card. We also have sophisticated audio and video soft-
ware to review potential evidence.
We have had our pictures of an entity featured on
Travel Channels Ghost Adventures a few years ago. We re-
cently did a Poltergeist case in which firewood was thrown
around the barn, dish towels went on fire, objects such as
books, plates, vases, a filleting knife and strange balls of ice
were thrown around the house. There were broken windows
from this, holes in walls, doors and ceiling. It took us 3 full
weeks to rid the house of the entity through prayer, smudg-
ing with sage and frankincense.
Some of my favorite EVP's (electronic voice phe-
nomenon) that we've captured are: I asked “are you happy
or sad tonight?” and got a ladies voice: “I'm truly Happy
now.” A few minutes later at the same hotel I captured: “We
want to tell you that we've passed into the spirit world.”
We can be contacted on our Facebook page under
Catskill Paranormal and reached by email at catskillparanor-
[email protected]. We can also be found on YouTube if you
search Catskill Paranormal.

HOW TO PLAY PAINTBALL AT VILLA ROMA
One of the most asked questions at the V.R. service desk is “how does paintball work?” The answer, of course, is that a CO2 tank attached to a paintball gun gas fires a lit-tle ball that splatters colorful paint, preferably all over another player’s person. The answer to “how do we sign up for paintball,” is that we need at least eight people signed up, before we can contact Roadrunner Paintball, and set up a game. Paintball games cost $35 per person. This buys you 200 paint-balls, unlimited CO2, a PB marker, goggles, face mask & ear protection as well as a camo coverall suit. Games last for 2-3 hours. Extra paintballs can be purchased for $70 for a 2000 count box. Have fun! Play Paintball!
Do you relish a good scare? Try:
Reaper’s Revenge
If you like the strange and un-
usual, if you like the odd and mysteri-
ous, and, most importantly love having
the H-E-double-hockey-sticks scared
out of you, Reaper’s Revenge will be
right up your decidedly dark alley.
Just an hour away, near Scran-
ton Pennsylvania, there is a 60 acre
scare-fest that lies even beyond the
grasp of even the most twisted and
warped of imaginations.
Take the Haunted Hayride, if
you dare. Please don’t think being sur-
rounded by other passengers will be of
any solace, as you venture farther and
farther into the darkness of the
Reaper’s Forest, and all the inhabitants
thereof.
Scared of clowns? The de-
mented and deranged weirdos and odd-
balls in the Lost Carnival may be just
the freak show for you.
Ironically, the Pitch Black at-
traction was once a light bulb factory.
A horrible electrical accident nearly
100 years ago, has left it very
haunted...and very, very dark.
Are you a fan of post apocalyp-
tic zombie movies? You may not be,
after living the reality and becoming
lost in the maze of Sector 13. Try one
attraction, or all four if you dare!
