RVF News
News
RVF is now a registered nonprofit
charitable organization in New Jersey.
The Foundation has filed for Section (c)
(3) non-profit status. In about 2 months,
we hope to move on to receive govern-
ment grants and corporate scholarships.
When RVF receives clearance from the
IRS, all future and past donations will re-
ceive a tax-exemption code.
Scholarship
The RVF Scholarship Application is on
its way! As of right now, the Foundation
is committed to giving $16,000+ in
scholarships for 2013 high school
graduates (amounts will vary with a
$1,000 minimum).
RVF will be soliciting its application to
all New Jersey districts, but hopes to re-
ceive applicants from across the US. The
application drop is set for October 24.

Donating Items or Funds
We can use your assistance with growing the
Foundation through donating items or money.
100% proceeds ($1 or $1,000,000) will go to
helping those who need it most and we will
provide you with our organization’s tax
exemption code so you reap the benefit of
helping others as well. Moreover, we don’t
just take monetary donations; we also take gift
items so we can use them during our raffling
events. Visit our website to learn more about
how your gift can help.
Come out and Support RVF
RVF has thrown countless events this year
ranging from dinners to sporting events. As
you have seen in the “Upcoming Events”
section on page one, we have two events
coming up and have many more in the works.
Event updates will be sent out often enough to
keep you in the loop. Our officers and loyal
members would love to see you at our events
supporting the cause and the Foundation. We
have grown substantially because of the
tremendous support we have received thus far.
Keep it up!
Spread the Word to Raise
Awareness
As mentioned before, we love seeing you at
our events. We also love seeing new faces. The
Foundation reaches over 400 email contacts

Past Events
First Annual Casino Night in Woodland Park, NJ
RVF kicked off its first summer event by hosting a casino night in St. Michael’s chapel in
Woodland Park, NJ on June 29, 2012. Over 60 guests attended, competing with play
money for the chance to take home one of the many raffled items including a 42” televi-
sion, tablet computer, digital camera and a kitchen baker’s rack.
All 29 items and gift baskets raffled were donated from local businesses; these businesses
were recognized for their contributions in pamphlets that were handed out during the
event, and donated items worth +$150 equated to the businesses receiving an honorary
billboard attached to the ceilings of the dining hall.
Over $4,000 was raised during the three hour event. Because of its success, the newly
appointed NJ Events Chair, Maya Uzelac, has stated that she has full intention to run the
event this upcoming winter. December’s newsletter will go into further detail, but the
second casino night will most likely fall in January or February of next year.
The Ralph Verde Foundation is only as strong as its supporters.
