PARISH LIFE
“The Church draws her life from the Eucharist. This truth does not simply express a daily experience of faith, but recapitulates the heart of the mystery of the Church.” (St. John Paul - On the Eucharist & Its Relationship to the Church). At the parish of St. Theresa, we strive to embody these words that describe the centrality of the Eucharist for the life and mission of the Church.
We welcome you to join us as we gather to celebrate our faith and worship God. Whatever your present status in the Catholic Church, whatever your current family or marital situation, whatever your past or present religious affiliation, whatever your personal history, age, background, or race, you are a Child of God and you are welcomed, accepted, loved, and respected at the Church of St. Theresa.

WE PRAY FOR OUR RECENTLY DECEASED We extend our prayers and sympathy to the family and friends of Linda Orr and Bettyann Zihalia. May they find eternal rest in peace with God our Father.
WE PRAY FOR OUR MILITARY Please remember in your prayers all those members of our parish family and our friends who are currently deployed especially: Master Sgt. Michael Novelli, Staff Sgt. Nicholas Okoszko, Sgt. Robert Paolello, Cpl. Matthew Volko, Lt. Christopher J. Worosz, USN, Lt. Matthew A. Worosz, USN. May the Lord protect them as they protect us.
WE PRAY FOR VOCATIONS Lord of Harvest, we petition you as you have instructed us to ask for more laborers to serve in the vineyard of Your Church. You
have told us that the harvest is rich and laborers are few, and we experience this great need in the face of the challenge of the New Evangelization. We ask the Holy Spirit to inspire young men to seriously consider vocations to the priesthood. Help all of us to be effective instruments to encourage and support those whom you are calling to serve and lead in the Church in the future. Lord, you told your Apostles to put out into the deep. We ask for the grace and courage to accept your call as we pray and work for an increase in vocations to the priesthood. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, the Great High Priest, Amen.
The Celebration of
THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM will begin in July.
Please call Cathy at Ext. 222 to reschedule your
child’s Baptism. Only one child can be baptized each Sunday. The time for Baptism has changed to 1:30 in order for us to clean the Church after the 11:30
AM Mass.
Those in attendance will be asked to please wear masks or face coverings
and maintain social distancing.
In preparation for the next weekend’s liturgy, We cite the following:

Breaking Open The Word June 14, 2020
The Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi)
First Reading: Deuteronomy 8:2-3, 14b-16a Moses reminds the Israelites that when they were starving in the desert, the Lord fed them with “manna” -- a food not known to them. Second Reading: 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 Paul points out to the Corinthians that through the sharing of the cup and the breaking of the bread, they are all one in Christ Jesus. Gospel: John 6:51-58 After Jesus feeds the five thousand people with barley loaves and fishes, he tries to make them understand the significance and the meaning of what he has done. He tells them, in mysterious and beautiful words, that the bread He gives is His flesh and says, “I myself am the living bread... If anyone eats this bread, he shall live forever.” Consider & Reflect: “Moses said to the people, ‘Remember how for forty years now the Lord, your God, has directed all your journeying in the desert, so as to test you by affliction and find out whether or not it was your intention to keep his commandments…Do not forget the Lord, your God’…’Do this in memory of me.’” Memory is a special gift. It allows us to recall special moments, special occasions and events with family, with friends, at church. The celebration of Sacraments, especially Holy Communion when we meet the Lord for the first time in the Eucharist, certainly stands out. On this Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, take time to remember that Jesus Christ is really present for us to feed, nourish and support us on our journey. With many others, spend time in adoration of Jesus in the Sacrament of His Body and Blood. He is waiting for you. Sadly, when people stop practicing the faith or decide to worship elsewhere, you may wonder if they understand that they lost the greatest gift they had, Jesus in the Eucharist. Pray for them.

A warm welcome to Mr. RJ Ballacillo, 4th Theology Seminarian of the
Diocese of Trenton Dear Parishioners, My name is RJ Ballacillo and I am coming to you with a happy heart and delighted spirit. My parents named me Reginald Joy because I was born in December just a few days before the celebration of Christmas, a season of great joy in anticipation of the birth of Jesus Christ. I entered the seminary with this childhood admiration of priests.
When I was eleven year old, I went to Saint Joseph High School Seminary in the Philippines which I considered the starting place of my formal academic and religious training. I followed the example of my two older brothers, Rex and Roy, who also went to the same seminary. In 2012, I continued college formation at San Pablo Seminary in Baguio City. As I progressed, it became clearer to me that I wanted to become a priest.
I just finished my third year theology in
St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia and I am always thankful and blessed to experience the immense love and presence of Jesus throughout my formation, and in everything that I do to prepare myself for the priesthood ministry. I will be ordained a transitional deacon on June 20th and I am looking forward to getting to know St. Theresa’s family. Please know that I come praying for you and allow me to be part of your lives as you already are part of mine.
Sincerely,
RJB
“In Church” public Masses will resume
Saturday & Sunday - June 13 & 14, 2020
Things have changed!
The following are the necessary steps to keep us safe: Church attendance is limited to ⅓
capacity of our worship space, which is about 300 people.
The use of a mask is required. Social distancing is to be practiced
while sitting and moving about. Every other pew in the Church will be sectioned off to help with this.
Hand sanitizer will be available for use at the entrances of the Church.
We will not offer the Precious Blood during Communion.
There will be no physical exchange during the sign of peace.
We encourage Communion in the hand only. Please do not wear gloves when receiving Communion.
There will be no collection during Mass. Collection baskets will be available for your contributions at the doors before and after Mass.
The congregation will be dismissed by section. Please cooperate.
The Church will be cleaned and disinfected between each Mass.
Thanks for your cooperation
