OCT. 13 St. Pat’s 150th Year Celebration
You sit down at a restaurant and order drinks and an appetizer.
Then you order an entrée with a salad. When all of that has been
consumed, you order a dessert. You leave after having had a good
time, but your pants don't fit so well now. You are so full you regret
ordering all those courses. Your eyes were bigger than your stom-
ach. You ordered what you wanted and not what you needed.
In our daily lives, we find ourselves wanting many things. We desire
outcomes and good fortunes that we think will make all the difference. However, oftentimes
when we receive these things, we only find ourselves wanting more. Worse yet, if we do not
get them, we can see our lives as incomplete.
God always provides what we need. It may not be what we want. Our eyes can deceive us in-
to believing that what we receive is not enough to fulfill us. If we trust in God and seek to
only live with what sustains us rather than dive into excess, we will find that we are happier,
healthier, and at peace. No one should ever make himself or herself feel overcome by too
much of anything. God knows what we need even if we cannot see it for ourselves.

Beginning with this week’s gospel, the Church celebrates five weeks of John’s Gospel. Like Jesus did in last week’s Gospel (Mark 6: 30-34), Jesus is feeding the people with the miracle of Bread Multiplication. This is a sign to show us how great He is “the Bread of Life, the Bread from Heaven.” “All Are Welcome”, in Jesus’ pres-ence. All are called to receive His Body and Blood. In His mercy He decided to stay with us as piece of Bread. Truly Bread so that we can taste and eat, but are transformed by the transubstan-tiation in Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, just for the love of us. So “Let Us Be Bread”, let us be one family in him. Convinced that if “He is with us, who is against us”. So, “Be Not Afraid” as He promises to be with us to the very end of ages. Let’s praise “Alabaré” Him together, let’s eat the Bread together and rejoice because we are the chosen ones. By: Joel Rosario- López Music Director

MUSIC FOR OUTDOOR MASSES: JULY 28-29
Gathering: All Are Welcome
Let us build a house where love can dwell
and all can safely live,
a place where saints and children tell
how hearts learn to forgive.
Built of hopes and dreams and visions,
rock of faith and vault of grace;
here the love of Christ shall end divisions.
All are welcome, all are welcome,
all are welcome in this place.
Let us build a house where prophets speak,
and words are strong and true,
where all God’s children dare to seek
to dream God’s reign anew.
Here the cross shall stand as witness
and as symbol of God’s grace;
here as one we claim the faith of Jesus.
All are welcome, all are welcome,
all are welcome in this place.
Let us build a house where love is found
in water, wine and wheat:
a banquet hall on holy ground
where peace and justice meet.
Here the love of God, through Jesus,
is revealed in time and space;
as we share in Christ the feast that frees us.
All are welcome, all are welcome,
all are welcome in this place.
Let us build a house where hands will reach
beyond the wood and stone
to heal and strengthen, serve and teach,
and live the Word they’ve known.
Here the outcast and the stranger
bear the image of God’s face;
let us bring an end to fear and danger.
All are welcome, all are welcome,
all are welcome in this place.
Gifts: Let Us Be Bread
Refrain: Let us be bread, blessed by the Lord, broken and shared, life for the world. Let us be wine, love freely poured. Let us be one in the Lord.
1. I am the bread of life, broken for all. Eat now and hun-
ger no more. 2. You are my friends if you keep my commands, no long-
er servants but friends. 3. See how my people have nothing to eat. Give them the
bread that is you. 4. As God has loved me so I have loved you.
Go and live on in my love.
Communion: Be Not Afraid
Refrain: Be not afraid
I go before you always
Come follow me, and
I will give you rest
1. You shall cross the barren desert, but you shall
not die of thirst You shall wander far in safety
though you do not know the way You shall speak
your words in foreign lands and all will under-
stand You shall see the face of God and live
(Refrain)
2. If you pass through raging waters in the sea, you
shall not drown If you walk amid the burning
flames, you shall not be harmed If you stand be-
fore the power of hell and death is at your side,
know that I am with you through it all (Refrain)
3. Blessed are your poor, for the kingdom shall be
theirs Blessed are you that weep and mourn, for
one day you shall laugh And if wicked men insult
and hate you all because of me, blessed, blessed
are you! (Refrain)
Sending: Alabaré
Alabaré, Alabaré, Alabaré a mi Señor //
John saw the number
of all those redeemed
and all were singing praises to the Lord.
Thousands were praying,
ten thousands rejoicing,
and all were singing praising to the Lord.
Alabaré, Alabaré, Alabaré a mi Señor //
We are your children
God eternal father
you have created us for love
we praise you, we bless you
we are singing praises to the Lord
Alabaré, Alabaré, Alabaré a mi Señor //
Responsorial Psalm:
“The hand of the Lord feeds
us; He answers all our needs.”
