Feast of the Immaculate Conception Holy Day of Obligation
Friday, 8 December 2017
Mass schedule as follows: 12:05 pm & 6:00 pm.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us!
Pray, O Mother, for those who suffers poverty and
injustice, violence and hatred, terror and war.
Help us to contemplate with the rosary
the mysteries of Him who “is our peace’,
so that we will all feel involved
in a persevering dedication of service to peace.
Look with special attention upon the land in which
you gave birth to Jesus, a land that you loved togeth-
er with Him, and that is still so sorely tried today.
Pray for us Mother of hope!
Give us days of peace, watch over our way.
Let us see your Son as we rejoice in heaven. Amen.

Help Decorate the Cathedral for Christmas! We are beginning to plan now!
Help is needed collecting the free Christmas tree
cuttings available from local merchants and
putting them in buckets of water until needed. We
need tons of cuttings! We also need other greenery
including magnolia leaves, long leaf pine, cedar,
podacarpus/yew, holly leaves and berries, box-
wood, and any other greenery that will last after
being cut. All cuttings need to be kept in water
and can be dropped off at the church during office
hours through 18 December. Contact Stephanie to
arrange a drop off time or with any questions at
[email protected] or at
843-724-8395.
The Charleston Renaissance En-
semble, performing since 1996, will
present its final program of choral
music on Sunday, 17 December at

compositions spanning the late Middle Ages
through the high Renaissance, as well as
traditional and modern carols of the Christmas
season. The concert is free, our gift to the
Cathedral & the Charleston community for their
ardent support over the last 41 seasons.
