VEGETATION
In the arctic there are a lot of plants. It appears that there is not vegetation but there is. There are purple saxifrage, mountain avens, wild crocus, arctic poppies, buttercups, cinquefoil, moss champion and campanulas.
ANIMALSIn the artic there are a lot of animals. Some of them are Musk oxen. It has a lot of hair for supporting the cold weather.The ermine lives in burrows and it stores its food. Warlus has to eat thousands of krill and shellfish each day.
THE PEOPLEThere are approximately 13 million of people living in the arctic.They live in Denmark,Russia,United States , and other countries.
THE HOUSES The Inuit were nomadic , so they rarely stayed in one place for long.Their houses had to be quick and easy to build.
An igloo is a temporary, dome-shaped shelter made out of snow blocks.The blocks are cut from the snow, and piled in a spiral shape, leaning in slightly. This gives the igloo its dome shape.
