Yankton Schools Return To Classes MondayYankton Public Schools will not hold classes through the New
Year’s holiday. Classes will resume Monday, Jan. 3.
Water Safety Instructors Course PlannedThe Summit Activities Center will be offering a Water Safety
Instructor’s Course in February. Classes will be held each Sunday inFebruary starting Feb. 6 and concluding on Feb. 27. Class times foreach session will be from noon-9 p.m. Attendance is mandatory for allfour sessions. Participants will need to be prepared for time in theclassroom and pool each day.
Registration begins Wednesday, Jan. 5. Participants may registeronline at www.cityofyankton.org or at the front desk of the SummitActivities Center.
The cost for the training includes WSI and FIT books. Participantsmust be at least 16 years of age before the class ends. Participantsmust also successfully swim the following strokes: Freestyle,Backstroke, Elementary Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly atLevel 4.
