Principal’s Message
Welcome back to all our existing families and a warm welcome to new families with children commencing school
in 2020. At Rous School we focus on children receiving a supportive and engaging education in a caring
environment. Parents and community members are very welcome to participate in our school programs and
activities. Assisting in the classroom can be discussed with relevant class teachers. Throughout the year if you
have concerns or questions regarding your child; I encourage you to approach your child’s teacher or myself.
Next Monday Kindergarten students will commence schooling. The year 6 buddies are looking forward to
building a supportive friendship with their buddies. This year we have 13 students enrolled in kindergarten.
Over the holidays we have had improvements made to the playground through funds provided by the P&C. This
includes a second basketball hoop added to the court, a pathway to the fixed equipment area and foundations
laid for the outdoor classroom. Thank you to the P&C for your ongoing support in upgrading facilities for the
students. Also thank you to the Towner family in providing the new shelving for the sports equipment in the
sports shed.
