Peter PanJ.M. BarrieRetold in rhyme by Caryl HartIllustrated by Sarah Warburton£14.99 . Hardback
Write your story! Imagine what adventures Peter and his friends might go on next or retell your own version of the Peter Pan story.
Choose your characters! Carefully cut out each character and sellotape a lollipop stick to the back so that you have a puppet you can move around. You could even create your own characters to add into the story.
Write a script: Start at the beginning of your story and think about what your characters would say to each other. You can also add sound effects like a crash of lightning or a bark of a dog! You can also have a narrator who explains parts of the story to the audience and will set the scene, like ‘It was a rainy night and the Darling children were tucked up in bed….’
Act out your play! You could even create a mini theatre using a cereal box or a piece of card to create a frame.
