Telecoil
Care must be taken to minimize noise and interference pick-up with the telecoil option. The following steps should be followed:
Add tape to the battery contact (on the push-button side) to prevent shorting.
Connect the telecoil wires to the hybrid and twist the wires at least 5 times.
Locate the hybrid behind/next to the push-button.
Dress all wires on the opposite side of the battery door.
Glue the telecoil to the shell (not to the faceplate) near the tragus. If the telecoil is for telephone use, mount it perpendicular to the plane of the faceplate (as shown in the picture). If the telecoil is for loop use, mount it parallel to the plane of the faceplate, in an up-down orientation, if possible.

730-D - Final Device Test
To insure a perfect microphone matching the steps below must be followed. The Final Device Test Tool accurate positions the mi-crophones at equal distance from the speaker in the test chamber during calibration.
1. Detatch instrument from coupler and remove battery door.
2. Mount the instrument a long with fl ex strip on to the test tool as shown on the pictures. There will be a slight “click” when instrument gets to the correct position.
3. Place the test tool in the test chamber as shown on the picture.
4. Continue the testing using the “2 Microphone Equilization...” program to correctly calibrate the rear microphone.
5. Remove tool from chamber and instrument from test tool - Finish.
Notes and other explanations :
The Final Device Test Tool is not stable enough to support the 2cc coupler if you wanted to take acoustic measurements using this tool. For this reason, the repair process needs to be taken in two steps.
