Sympathisers of terrorists doing no good to nation: BJP

    Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Oct 12: BJP Stategeneral secretary Yudhvir Sethisaid those sympathising with ter-rorists are doing no good to thenation, as he lauded securityforces for eliminating two ultrasincluding top Hizbul commanderand former PhD student MananWani in north Kashmir's frontierdistrict of Kupwara.

He also termed as "misleadingand against the very spirit ofKashmiriyat" former chief minis-ter Mehbooba Mufti's remarksthat Wani's death was "entirelyour loss as we are losing youngeducated boys everyday".

Sethi said giving statements"glorifying" militants anddescribing their killing as a lossare nothing but akin to fanningmilitancy. "The sympathisers ofsuch people (terrorists) are doingno good to the nation. Securityforces have done a commendablejob by eliminating terrorists."

Instead of "glorifying" suchmilitants, Mehbooba should askyouths not to get misled byPakistan only to be killed by thesecurity forces, he said.

Sethi also dismissed her sug-gestion that all the political par-ties in the country should try tofacilitate a solution through dia-logue with all the stake holdersincluding Pakistan to end "this

    bloodshed".Sethi said everyone in the

country knows about the situationin Kashmir and that is why theyhave thrown their weight behindthe security forces as they elimi-nate militants and even the "whitecollar ultras".

Educated or uneducated mili-tants like Burhan Wani andManan will continue to meet theirfate at the hands of security agen-cies, he added.

"Pakistan and militantsbacked by it have launched aproxy war against a mighty nationlike India who has one of the bestarmies," Sethi said.

Instead of encouraging youngboys to take the wrong path orsympathising with the ultras,Mehbooba Mufti as a mainstreampolitician should ask them to con-tribute to the nation's economyand help their families growstronger, he said.

"She must...Have courage tocall a spade a spade only then willthe people, especially the youthsof Kashmir, will not get misguid-ed," Sethi said.

While many youths inKashmir are engaging themselvesin start-ups and having self-finances units or are studying indifferent parts of the country tomake their future, youths likeManan are meeting their fate, hesaid.
