A virtual slide is a digitally captured glass slide which is comprised of high-
resolution images. The convenience of a computer is then used to view,
navigate, change magnification and focus through the virtual slide with speed
and ease.
No need to have microscope to study virtual slides. PCs and laptops are
sufficient for learning pathology. Images can be seen even on mobile.
More than one virtual slide can be viewed at the monitor screen and images
can be compared. Virtual Slides are highly valuable for teaching and self-
study.
Virtual slides can be annotated to explain the features. Making it easy
for teaching and self-study
virtual slides made pathology more enjoyable.

We did an interview with 4th & 5th year dental students and asked them a
few questions :
Do you remember any information from Oral pathology courses ?
2-If yes, What is make you still remember this information till now ?
3-In your openion, How to enjoy and get the full benefit of oral pathology
subject ?
And the answers were different , some of them still remembering because
they attach the information with scenarios , and others because of their way
of studying .. and a lot says that they forget because they didn’t find the right
way of studying and they get bored easily.
At the end, its all about passion, find your passion .. and your road will be
clear !

What is Case-Based Learning.
approach engages students in discussion of
specific scenarios that resemble or typically
are real-world examples
This method is learner-centered with intense interaction between participants as they
build their knowledge and work together as a group to examine the case.
The instructor's role is that of a facilitator while the students collaboratively analyze and
address problems and resolve questions that have no single right answer.
Case-Based Teaching is an excellent active learning strategy that is particularly effective
in helping students develop the ability to apply concepts and ideas to practical
experience and vice versa.
6) Nowadays with advance multimedia technology available to support the use of
interactive cases base teaching ex. ( video-case , web-base ...)
7) Several medical and dental schools throughout the world have by now fully or partly
adopted PBL for their undergraduate education
8) In Oral pathology
* A large collection of clinical cases, including images, will give the students sufficient
exposure to the various clinical manifestations of individual oral diseases
9) * A shorter time lag between collection of clinical data (disease history, status, clinical
images, histopathology images, laboratory findings, etc.) and the production of teaching
material will ensure that students are exposed rapidly to the full spectrum of oral
diseases
We did not tweet it because of the time.
10)* Integration of data from both the clinical and the histopathological examinations will
satisfy the requirement to coordinate the oral medicine and oral pathology aspects of
cases
We did not tweet it because the of the time.
Thanks a lot for giving us this great chance to do something
different and beneficial ^^
