STEM DAY STEM DAY was so much fun because you were able to see how our students are critical thinkers! These skills will be used throughout life no matter what career path a student takes. At STEM Day you saw how project-based learning is a way for students to demonstrate more creativity in applying what they know. It has been shown that non-formulary learning like this is important for students to develop problem-solving skills and we have amazing students at RHLS who demonstrate these skills.

Our Program – PLTW Using the PLTW curriculum students become problem solvers. Students use structured approaches, like the engineering design process, and employ critical thinking. They apply STEM knowledge, skills, and habits of mind, learning that it is OK to take risks and make mistakes. As teachers and students learn and discover together, education becomes far more engaging. This program offers a variety of settings and scenarios where the possibilities are endless.
