Tie Connections
Tie Connections Both the single and double are adjustable by the diagonal ties, and they can used in conjunction with the strut.
Struts
Struts The Strut System should be fitted between the bottom rail and the next rail, and are leveled before proceeding progressively upwards. The single strut system is utilized on buildings with bays up to 6.1m centres with adjustable diagonal wire rope ties as shown in the tie connection diagram.

Double Spanning System Sleeves are required at connections to single span end bays only. This eliminates the use of heavy gauge end bay sections which simplifies the system and offers a saving in material.
Single Span Sleeved System Sleeves are required at alternate joints throughout the roof and all joints on the penultimate rafter: Note: Single span systems are generally used when:
1. Bay centres exceed 8.0m2. When site restrictions dictates single length to be used. Normal double span load tables
can be used.

Continuous Double Spanning Systems The double spanning system uses considerably fewer components than the single span system. Joints should be staggered when double spanning to aid consideration.
Continuous Double Spanning Systems Heavier purlin sections must be used in both end bays in a purlin run with all joints sleeved.
