Why SR2S?
Bullet 2: have any Seattleites noticed that this week? I ride a highschool and jr high on my ride to work. The drop‐off is more diffuse: dad, DON’T drive up to the door, 3 blocks away is just fine…. But on the arterials, THAT’s where you notice the increased volumes, speeds, and danger. It’s interesting to me how, on foot or bike, the personalities of the drivers around you really come out. You can see, smell, hear aggression. As a bike commuting adult, I know it’s time for me to alter my route to my fall route. But,
Bullet 3 – our kids don’t have the opportunity to know the world in that way.

SRTS At the grassroots
Mention E’s
This is what the grassroots looks like, after 3 years of wheel inventing. Bringing coordination to a higher level, we hope to spread the seeds wider, have them grow faster and healthier.

Potential
• Do you have a statewide/regional SR2S network, or potential to create one?
• Who are your partners? Who else could be?• What barriers might you encounter?• What needs would you choose to address, and how?
• What would your statewide/regional center look like?
Break out into groups to see about these questions
