Serving the Lord this Week
Matthew 3:1-2 “In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, 2 "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."” John prepared the way for Jesus by preaching repentance. Then, when Jesus' ministry was complete and He was raised from the dead, He sent out his disciples to preach “repentance and the forgiveness of sins.” We never outgrow the need for repentance – for examining our lives, turning away from our pet sins, and turning toward Jesus in faith to receive his forgiveness and strength for a renewed life of godliness.

CHURCH EXTENSION STAMP PROGRAM

BOARD OF HUMAN CARE “Reverse Advent Calendars”
During this season of giving, the Human Care Board is encouraging our church families to teach their children and grandchildren the joy of making a difference in the lives of others by participating in a congregational “Reverse Advent Calendar” servant event.
How does it work? Instead of taking things “out” of an Advent Calendar as a countdown to Christmas, you put things “in” an Advent box (food items) and at the end of the month you take the box to Lighthouse or any other local food bank. What a wonderful lesson in giving to pass on to our loved ones and friends.
Take a sheet with some food item suggestions, available in the Narthex.
2020 OFFERING ENVELOPES
Please find your 2020 offering envelopes in the FLC hallway. If you don’t have envelopes and would like a box, please fill out the sheet on the table or contact the office.
POINSETTIA ORDERS!
If you would like to sponsor a Poinsettia to decorate our Christmas Eve altar, please fill out a form in the Narthex and leave it in the basket. The red Poinsettias will be in 6” pots and cost $10.00 per plant.
All orders are due by December 15.
SIGN UP TO RECEIVE THE `LUTHERAN WITNESS`
Again this year, we hope you will renew your subscriptions to the Lutheran Witness—the official magazine of the LCMS. The magazine covers many topics such as doctrine, synod events, missions, youth events and our Lutheran history and heritage. December 8th is the sign-up deadline to ensure the discounted rate this year of $11.60. A sign-up sheet is available in the narthex. Even if you received the magazine this past year you must sign-up again for 2020. Your payment of $11.60 (check payable to St. Trinity) can be included in your weekly offering envelope on the “other” line noting “Lutheran Witness” or drop off you’re payment in the church office.
ADVENT WORSHIP CHILDREN’S PROGRAM

ST. TRINITY STAFF APPRECIATION
St. Trinity Members: It has been a tradition here at St. Trinity to show our appreciation for our church staff and Preschool staff at this time of year. In keeping with that tradition, available at the Information Center is a Staff Appreciation offering envelope for your use. St. Trinity is blessed with such a wonderful staff and for that we are thankful to God. God’s blessings to you and your families this Christmas and in the New Year.
