Functions and EventsThe 2 large function rooms, featuring a spacious bar, are open evenings and weekends. They are ideal rooms for a variety of events and available for hire for :
• Wedding Receptions
• Engagement, Anniversary and Birthday celebrations
• Dinners
• Club Presentation Nights
• Christmas Party Nights
A range of catering requirements can be fulfilled making each event personal to you. We offer a range of menus – everything from BBQs and buffets to formal sit-down meals.
For that really special occasion, Marquee events are also available on request.

We can cater for any size of company event and have hosted softball, football and multi-sports events for many leading companies. Astroturf PitchesThe superb facilities at Clifton College Sports Ground include 2 full-sized sand-dressed Astroturf pitches. These are fully floodlit and ideal for football, hockey, netball and tennis all year round. The pitches provide up to 9 floodlit 5-a-side pitches and are available for hire at the following times:
Monday-Thursday 6pm-10pm, Friday 6pm-9pm
Saturday 9am-1pm (term time) 9am-5pm (school holidays, depending on availability)
Sunday 9am–4pm (depending on availability)
Third Generation Football PitchClifton College Sports Ground boasts one of the biggest and best 3G football pitches in the South of England. The pitch is fully approved by both FIFA and the IRB, making it the ideal artificial surface for football and full-contact rugby. The surface is rubber crumb-based and the experience is as close as you can get to playing on the real thing – without the mud! The pitch is available to hire for a full-sized match, or can be split in half for smaller matches or training.
If you want to play on the best surface possible – whatever the weather – make a booking for this pitch and enjoy a great sporting experience.
Weekly 8-a-side football leagues run throughout the year on the 3G pitch and are extremely popular. To enter a team or to be included on our mailing list for more details please email [email protected]
Grass PitchesFollowing recent redevelopment and levelling, the Centre now offers a large number of high-quality grass pitches for hire throughout the year. Ideal for tournaments of all kinds including football, rugby, softball and even Ultimate Frisbee.
Set in 80 acres of grounds, Clifton College Sports Ground, Abbots Leigh, is Bristol’s premier sporting complex. Situated just a few minutes from the Suspension Bridge, the site is easily accessible from all directions and is just minutes from junction 19 of the M5.
We also run the biggest and best summer 8-a-side league in the South West on our grass pitches.
Indoor Tennis/Netball DomeThe “bubble” is a fantastic facility specifically designed for indoor tennis and netball. There are 3 tennis courts open to anyone on a pay-and-play basis. You do not need to be a member to enjoy this state-of-the-art facility. Our Director of Tennis offers a variety of courses for both children and adults, from beginners through to more experienced players - we have something to offer everyone.
This is also Bristol’s best pay-and-play tennis facility – so if you love tennis but hate bad weather, this is the ideal place to play.
The Dome also allows for netball training, matches and tournaments.

Water-Based Hockey PitchClifton College Sports Ground also boasts a Premier Water-Based Hockey Pitch which is available for use by the local community. The pitch is one of only four in the country which meets FIH Global Standards for pitch lighting and surface and offers a truly top level hockey experience. The hockey pitch also features a designated practise/warm up area and is available to hire for club matches, tournaments and training sessions.
