We’re just as excited as you are to see the finished South East Asia Jungle Track, it’s so close now, we can almost smell it!One of the last big construction steps is to fix up all the footpaths around the area – to do this we have to temporarily close the main footpath, unfortunately making part of the Zoo inaccessible to our visitors.

Te Puna café open until 5:30pm Located right in the heart of the zoo, enjoy a coffee or an ice cold drink with a bite to eat from our wide range of hot and cold café food. Please wear your mask while you’re not eating and sign in with the NZ COVID Tracer app.
The Watering Hole café open until 4pm*With stunning views of our flamingos, lions, and elephants, enjoy coffee, ice cream, burgers, hot chips and cold drinks. Don’t forget to wear your mask and sign in with the NZ COVID Tracer app.
We only use products that are palm oil-free, contain sustainable palm oil, or are sustainably sourced from local suppliers.
