Graduation Ceremony
Dr. Rajdeep Manwani – TEDx speaker and renowned Life Coach and Mr. Varun Agarwal –
best selling author and acclaimed motivational speaker, were the distinguished guests at a
very solemn Graduation Ceremony which bid adieu to its outgoing batch of Class XII
students of the session 2017-18.

Farewell
Students of Class XI put together an evening of dance and music for the outgoing batch of
Class XII. They recalled amusing anecdotes of their school life, danced, sang songs and
showed a video presentation – all of which added up to making it a very enjoyable evening.

Zubin Turakhia, Class IX E, and Anirudh
Singh Solanki, Class IX F, secured the All
India Rank of 29 in Technothlon - the
annual festival of IIT, Guwahati. They had
to complete several tasks like programming
a game in C++, making a cardboard
hydraulic arm, playing a highly complex
checkers game, etc. In the final round, they
achieved the All India Rank of 04, for which
they were awarded a gold medal and a
certificate.
Shishyans came out with flying colours in
the Junior Bal Vigyan. Their project titled,
"Augmented Reality-Digital Literacy for the
Masses" was adjudged the Best Project.

Technothlon at IIT Guwahati
Atharva Taparia, Class IX B, and Manas
Bhatia, Class IX E, secured AIR 1, AIR 4
and AIR 5 ranks respectively, in Techkriti,
organized by IIT Kanpur.

Vocal and Harmonium. She also explained
the finer nuances of this dance form to the

A group of 10 students along with two
educators visited Russia on an AFS Class
Exchange Programme. They spent four
days in Moscow visiting the various

sights and

preparat ions
for Victory Day
and Fifa 2018!
They were in
Surgut for ten
days, hosted by the students and teachers
of Solnechny school. They learnt Russian,
played friendly basketball matches and had
other classes and various excursions to
learn about Russian culture and traditions.

Riddhi also got a first-
hand experience of the
Hungarian education system.
Vasudha Gupta, Class XI, was in Germany
for two months on an AFS reciprocal
Programme. During the course of her stay,
along with attending classes, she visited
the Deutsch Museum in Munich and a
carnival in Austria, went on a road trip to
Italy and camped in the Alps, From the
mining caves to marine navigation and sea
fossils, physics to maths, music to tools,
golf, cycle, sledge, swimming, Vasudha did
it all. Interacting with refugee students
from Iran, Iraq, Syria and Pakistan was an
eye-opener.

House Meet
The first House Meet was conducted,
marking the commencement of this year’s
inter house activities. The purpose of a
house meet is to motivate and enthuse the
students about participating in the various
inter house competitions and do their part
to bring their house a step closer to
winning the coveted house trophy!

Inter-House Word Power Competition
Organized with the aim of empowering the students with a good language and vocabulary
and to enhance their knowledge of the English language, the Inter House Word Power
Competition for students of Classes VI - VIII was a huge success. The students who
anchored the show, conducted and channelized the programme to its rightly deserved
climax. Their smart, poised and extremely careful stage conduct added to the perfection of
the whole event.

Singapore
Advait Page created big waves in the

He won a Gold
Medal in the 1500
m freestyle by
clocking 15:25.98.
In the 800 mts free
style he grabbed the
second spot by
clocking 8:10.22.
With this performance, he has surpassed
the qualifying time for the Asian games
which is 15:33.21.
This is India's best performance in 1500 m
freestyle.
Advait Excels Once Again
In the 45th Junior National Aquatic
Championship held in
Pune, Advait Page won a
Gold Medal in the 400
mts free style. He
clocked 4:02.09 seconds
breaking the 09 year old
record of Gagan A.P.
which stood at 4:06.20.
