OVERCOMING WORRY
Don’t worry about anything . . . (Philippians 4:6 – Living Bible)
Assuming responsibilities that God never intended
for me to have.
Worry weighs us down . . . (Proverbs 12:25 – The Message)
Worry isSERIOUS
Worry isAGGRESSIVE
Worry isDESTRUCTIVE
That’s why it’s SAD!
WHY WORRY SHOULDN’T BE A PART OF OUR LIVES
Worry is unnecessary because of our Father
Look at the birds. They don’t need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your heavenly
Father feeds them.
And you are far more valuable to him than they are.
(Matthew 6:26)
Worry is unproductive because of the facts
Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
Of course not. (Matthew 6:27)
Worry is unnaturalbecause of our faith
God clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today but tomorrow is thrown into the fire. So you can be
even more sure that God will clothe you. Don’t have so little faith!
Don’t worry and say, “What will we eat? or What will we drink?” The people who don’t know God keep trying to get these things,
and your Father in heaven knows that you need them.
(Matthew 6:30-32)
Worry is unwise because of the future
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own
worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
(Matthew 6:34)
HOW WORRY IS OVERCOME IN OUR LIVES

And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will,
sure that he's listening.
And if we're confident that he's listening, we know that what we've
asked for is as good as ours. (1 John 5:14-15 – The Message)
Insight: As you pray, give all your
worries to God!

what I am becoming!
As a man thinks in his heart, so he is.
(Proverbs 23:7 – King James Version)

always something you can be grateful for – if you look for it!
THE RESULT OF OVERCOMING WORRY
IN YOUR LIFE
If you do this you will experience God's Peace which is far more
wonderful than the human mind can understand.
His peace will keep your thoughts and your heart quiet and at rest
as you trust in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:8 - JB)
Insight: There is no problem too
big for God’s power or too small for God’s concern.
