DEGREEThis movie was submitted for my architecture minor bachelor presentation in the university of Rome. It had to include my most important academic projects and explain how they were connected to each other. I analyzed the process of creation or finding of an idea, and how and what was needed to achieve it. Unfortunately, as for my experience, I could quote Max Ernst, which used to say that “all best ideas come by chance”.

The course takes its name from the American architect Buckminster Fuller, and pushes into the innovation and the creation of new simple and sustainable technologies.
This very prototype was created with the aid of digital techniques such as laser cutting & 3D printing. It consists of hexagons divided into rhombuses that rotate around connected axes and provide shade to interior environments.
A Master’s course for the Building Technology track at the TU Delft that covered the whole creation process of an actual prototype for a façade, from its conceptual phase all the way to the final design.

BTBuilding technology is a course in the BT track of architecture at the University of technology of Delft which aims to the creation of an innovative design concept. My design consisted of a double curtain breathing façade which was composed by double glazed windows cut in triangles and placed on different angles to scatter the reflections of the surrounding environment.

informaticsdesign
Technoledge Informatics Design was a course that aimed to the creation of a fiber glass reinforced plastics bench by using parametric geometry. This concept could be split in 4 parts, repeated and assembled to form a knot like bench.
The bench was then produced in a factory in Izmir, Turkey.T

As well as a simple message in a bottle - an act of despair or of hope, a rebellion against the silence. The base is a boat (with a rubber boat deck) to which bottles are tied using cables.Inside each of them beats a membrane (molded on an actual heart). The sound of each bottle is a voice and, all together, the ensemble is drowned out by the beating hearts.
Artist assistant during the conceptual period
The Artist analyses how migrants focus on the psychological consequences of their feelings, their suppression, and the painful inner processes. The form of Migrants is inspired by The Raft of the Medusa by Géricault.

A series of gold-plated aluminum sculptures, describing the borders and stigmatizing their evolutions: the nation symbol, the sense of nation reinforced by borders drawn as a result of war, the national ideal. It involves overlaying historical paths, incorporating the key dates in the history of a nation. (Germany, Russia, Israel, Turkey, etc).

In the centre of a circle symbolizing the globe, or Homer’s sphere surrounded by oceans, an abstract group of countries will be symbolically gathered. Each cube represents an imaginary country. A place of oppression, lack of freedom. The interstices in the concrete let through whispers, cries, sounds of rebellions and military marches, discussion, poetry about freedom, etc. It’s an organized cacophony amid the rubble of destroyed countries. Is it not political or economic oppression which drives people onto the road? On the other hand, encouraging us to look to the skies, we will hear from above, randomly and triggered by the audience’s movements, birdsong of freedom.
