We are starting a new topic looking at humans and how they change and

grow throughout their lifetime.

Last term, we were looking at the life cycles and reproduction of plants and animals.

This term, we are focusing on the stages of growth and development in humans. We will be exploring the question: What is the

human life cycle?

We’re going to find out more about what these words mean and what happens at each stage of the human life cycle.

This is the period of human

growth that occurs between

childhood and adulthood.

Adolescence begins at around

age 10 and ends around age

21. Adolescence can be

broken into three stages:

early adolescence, middle

adolescence, and late

adolescence.

Activity

Use what you have learnt to create a picture timeline of the changes which occur throughout the human life cycle.
