INTRODUCTION
What are your biggest challenges in your business? For most entrepreneurs and
small business owners, the two biggest challenges include:
Not enough time in the day to accomplish what you want
The desire to grow your business and profits
Depending on the nature of your business and your skills, I’m sure you have other
challenges as well. Maybe you struggle to keep up with the latest trends in your
industry, or you’re having difficulty deciding on where to focus your own energies.
Everyone has their particular issues to deal with. But, striking a balance between
time and money is a challenge for everyone and one of the greatest sources of
stress.
No matter what business you’re in, having tools that make your life easier and your
work more efficient is critical for your success…..and your sanity!
Private Label Rights (PLR) content is the ultimate time-saver, which makes
it a priceless asset for any serious entrepreneur.
In this report, you’re going to learn:
What private label rights are
How you can benefit from using this content “the right way”
Some of the most common ways people use PLR
Five creative ways to use PLR that will save you a big chunk of time while
helping you grow your profits to a whole new level
By the time you’re done reading, you should have picked out at least one strategy
for using PLR that you can put into place immediately.
www.BusinessContentPLR.com Page 4
WHAT ARE PRIVATE LABEL RIGHTS?
Private label rights (PLR) are the rights or terms that tell you exactly what you CAN
and CANNOT do with content that you have purchased, or which has been given to
you. When people talk about “PLR”, they are usually referring to any content that
you can modify, put your name on, and use anywhere you would typically publish
content. The most common exception is that you’re not allowed to sell or give those
rights to anyone else.
Every PLR provider has slightly different rules about what you can and can’t do, so
you’ll always have to check their terms when you buy. Here’s an example of the
PLR rules that I have on my own site at Business Content PLR:
There are also a few PLR providers who do not allow you to give away the content
at all. For some of the premium packs of content, you need to either sell it at a
minimum price or include it as part of another paid product – for example, as a
bonus. Read the rules!!!
www.BusinessContentPLR.com Page 5
WHAT ARE THE BEST WAYS TO USE PLR?
How you use PLR is only limited by your imagination. There are literally hundreds of
different places that marketers, both online and offline, currently use content. Each
one of those places is a potential opportunity to use PLR to save you time.
Some of the most popular ways to use PLR include:
Articles for your blog
Emails to your list
Free reports for building your list
Ready-to-go products
Bonuses to include with other paid products
Rough drafts for any content, such as audio, video or webinars
A foundation for article marketing or guest posts (if they’re rewritten)
In this report, however, I want to show you 5 different ways to use PLR that are a
little more creative than the usual ones. They should get you thinking about more
of the possibilities for saving you time in your business. And we all know….Time is
Money!!
The 5 ways I’m going to talk about are:
1. Create a Membership Site
2. Train Affiliates and Outsourcers
3. Promote Your Product in New Ways
4. Create Quick Tools
5. Lightning Fast Learning
NOTE: An essential part of using PLR is finding content that is already very high
quality. I’ve listed a few of my favorite providers at the end of this report. But make
sure you always look at the free samples that the top PLR providers offer on their
sites – before you buy. You’ll be able to tell immediately if the content is up to your
standards or not.

1. CREATE A MEMBERSHIP SITE FROM PLR
Does your business suffer from constant ups and downs in income? Every time you
release a product or do a promotion you get a surge in income. Then it goes down again. If you sell products or services that are seasonal in nature, your income probably fluctuates with the seasons as well.
Membership sites, in which people pay a fee in set time intervals, provide a
recurring source of income that can give you some stability and peace of mind. Rather than getting a one-off payment from a customer, you know that you’ll be seeing money coming in regularly for weeks, months, or even years (depending on
the membership terms). This gives you the opportunity to relax a little, maybe even take a vacation, or spend some time on a riskier venture you’ve wanted to try.
What prevents many people from starting a membership site is the need for a regular source of content – and a lot of it! PLR provides you with a never-
ending source of content to draw from.
HOW TO USE PLR FOR YOUR MEMBERSHIP SITE
There are a number of different types of membership sites you can create. They include coaching sites that contain resources and tutorials, product memberships
that provide new products each month, or specific training that is released gradually to members. All of these can be created with PLR
Coaching Sites
A coaching site can provide resources for learning, reinforcement of any training
done, notes from live calls, and additional tools people can use on their own. You can use PLR for any or all of these types of coaching content, including:
Video tutorials. Use PLR how-to articles, put the key steps on slides, add
examples, and then record yourself walking through the steps by using the
articles as the basis for script. Or you could use ready-made PLR webinars
and webinar templates. All you have to do is record the webinar as video
using a program like Powerpoint 2010 or Camtasia Studio.
Introductions to different topics. So that you don’t have to cover basics in
live coaching sessions, you can put this information on your coaching site
instead. For example, use beginner level articles and reports and put them in
sections on your site, grouped by topic. You can record the same information
as audio and video so people can learn in different ways.
Blog. PLR articles are always great content for blog posts. Create a blog for
your coaching membership site and schedule some PLR articles for regular
content on different topics.
www.BusinessContentPLR.com Page 7
Product Memberships
Product membership sites involve providing some type of product that members
receive on a regular basis, usually monthly. Aside from the products themselves,
you need to focus on retaining your members by helping them use their products and profit from them.
Examples of how to use PLR content for a product membership site include:
Products. Complete PLR products, such as ebooks, provide a ready source
of content. There’s no need to create your own from scratch. However, you’ll
probably want to tweak and customize them depending on your target
market.
How to’s. In order to profit from their products, people need instructions on
how to set them up and sell them. You’ll find a slew of PLR articles and
tutorials on how to sell online. Use these for creating step-by-step
instructions and videos.
Ideas for how to promote the products. Your members also need ideas for
how to promote your products so they can profit as much as possible. You
can create sections for different types of promotion methods. Then use PLR
articles on each of these topics to give them ideas for putting these
promotion methods into practice. You’ll find PLR on pretty much any
promotion method out there.
Training Series
Not all memberships need to be ongoing. You can create a training series that lasts
a few weeks, a few months, a year, or any other set time frame. These types of
sites are often set up in a “drip feed” structure. Content is released at set intervals,
so that members don’t get all the training at once. This prevents overwhelm and
also encourages customers to stay members, so long as they are getting value from
the training. Use PLR to create:
Tutorials. As with coaching sites, you can create training tutorials in
different formats using PLR as the basis for your content. Some PLR will
already come in different formats, such as both slides and text, but you can
take any PLR article and transform it into multimedia training.
PDF reports. Combine PLR content from different providers to create
comprehensive training courses in pdf format. Both OpenOffice.org and
Microsoft Word 2010 give the option to save a document as a pdf.
Ecourses. Some PLR will come already formatted as an ecourse. You can
just customize it and set it up as a drip-feed via email or on a site.
Worksheets. We’ll talk later about creating tools, but some PLR will come
with checklists and learning assignments that you can post immediately.

2. USE PLR TO TRAIN YOUR AFFILIATES AND OUTSOURCERS
Having an affiliate program for your business, in which others promote your
products and services for a commission, gives you a passive form of income that requires little investment in terms of time or money. Your affiliates spend their own resources to promote you, and in return you both profit.
However, for your affiliates to do the best job possible in promoting your products
and services, you need to provide them with tools that make their job easy.
One great way is to use PLR for training your affiliates. Any PLR content that you
can find on affiliate marketing is a potential training tool for your own affiliates.
Many of your affiliates would like to promote you more, but they just don't have the
skills. Teach them and it's a win/win situation. You don't have to reinvent the wheel with this type of training since there's already so much excellent PLR on this
subject.
Look for PLR content on topics such as:
Email marketing
List building Blogging Using social media
Getting traffic to websites Writing product reviews
Running webinars
Pretty much any internet marketing topic is a potential training source for teaching
your affiliates more skills.
On the topic of training, there's a lot of PLR out there that you can use to train
your outsourcers too! Put it into a checklist format and then create a video with the content that walks through each step in a process, depending on who you're
training. You can find PLR on plenty of topics that your outsourcers could learn from, such as:
Article marketing
How to use Wordpress
Creating and promoting videos Keyword research
As an added bonus, you can use the content of any related PLR packs to create the
answers to frequently asked questions about your topic. This saves you time by
giving you a place to send your affiliates and outsourcers when they have basic questions. For affiliates, you can also provide them with a link to this page that contains their affiliate id, so they can profit from referring people to that page.

3. PROMOTE YOUR PRODUCTS WITH PLR CONTENT
Content marketing is one of the most popular strategies for building your brand and
promoting your products and services. It involves providing information that people find so valuable and interesting that they want to visit your website and consume other content that you produce. It doesn’t matter what form that content takes or
where it is published, the key to success in content marketing is to create something of value.
PLR can help you create a constant stream of high quality content by providing a source that is already well-researched. Your job is to customize it to your market
and repurpose it in creative ways.
Create viral reports.
You can take a PLR report that's relevant to your market or a specific need your
market has, edit it and distribute the report in multiple places online. Give people the option to share the report, so long as they don’t change it, so that you can spread your brand far and wide.
If you make the report rebrandable, your affiliates can share it and profit through
the affiliate links they put in the report. Programs such as ViralPDF will take a pdf that you’ve created and transform it into a rebrandable pdf with an accompanying app that gives affiliates the ability to replace the links in the report to their own
affiliate ones.
Social media updates.
Another practical use for PLR that's becoming more popular is to break up the
content for your social media updates. You can take key points or snippets from articles and use them for Twitter, Facebook and Google plus updates (or any other social media platform you use). If you use the scheduling feature in platforms like
Bufferapp and Hootsuite, you’ll end up with a series of social updates that keeps you visible online even when you’re busy doing other marketing activities. Just be
sure to go back and engage with your followers on a personal level also.
Multimedia solutions.
There's always the approach of putting your PLR into a form that's different from
the way you bought it. That can be incredibly fast and easy, especially if you already know how to make video and audio.
Just put the key points onto slides and use the articles as a script for video. Or use
the articles and record yourself speaking. Each article then becomes a different
recording in a podcast series. You'll have to edit in some "ums" and "ahs" to make it sound natural, but that's no big deal. Free programs like OpenOffice.org and Audacity make the process of creating audio and video from text very easy – and
affordable!
www.BusinessContentPLR.com Page 10
Offline marketing.
Another less frequently used marketing strategy is to take your content offline. Find
some quality PLR and use it to create physical products and giveaways. Printed
reports are invaluable as a marketing tool with offline businesses, but you can also create items such as calendars (with daily tips from your PLR) or DVDs with information about your services. PLR can even be used as a rough draft for your
offline seminars for local prospects.
Sales funnel.
Most PLR articles can be used as part of an autoresponder series, for video
promotions, webinars, social media, or any other type of promotional content you want. Use PLR to create a complete sales funnel, including the opt-in giveaway, the email promotion series, the product itself, and backend offers. You can even
find PLR templates for squeeze pages, sales pages, thank-you and download pages.
www.BusinessContentPLR.com Page 11
4. CREATE QUICK TOOLS
When you make someone else’s life easier, they’ll be a loyal customer for life. Tools
such as worksheets, checklists, cheat sheets and process maps are one great way to achieve this. You can give them away to your list, add them to paid products, offer them as list sign-up freebies, or even sell sets of tools as a complete product
on its own.
Here are three examples of tools you can create:
Process tools
A lot of PLR lends itself well to creating helpful tools for business and life. Anything that helps you get more organized and remember to do everything you're supposed
to is a time manager’s secret weapon.
Any type of how-to PLR article can be broken down into a checklist, where the
article basically serves as the instructions for completing the list. Reformat the article so that each item in the list is in a logical order. Then create a separate
checklist to accompany the article. The same checklist can also be created as a mindmap for those who are more visual learners. Freemind is one mindmap
program you can use that won’t cost you a penny.
Tools for putting learning into practice
Any training you give is useless if people don’t put what they learn into practice. The training itself could consist entirely of PLR content. You’re just adding value by
making sure that people use what they learn.
You can use PLR how-to tutorials as the basis for creating worksheets just by
pulling out the key steps to complete and putting them in a separate document with room to take notes.
Add a simple Action Planning worksheet at the end, with relevant headings based
on the topics in your training. You could even create a journal for learners to take notes, using each article or category as a blank section in the journal.
Tools for promoting products
You can also help your customers and affiliates be more effective in their product
promotions by creating tools that help them plan out different promotions. If you can’t find the relevant ready-made PLR worksheets and tools, you can easily create
planning worksheets based on different promotion types.
Take some PLR that explains a variety of promotion strategies. Then, all you have
to do is create a table with different headings based on each strategy. Each column and row in the table provides a place to plan the promotion. Or create a calendar
for planning out a schedule of promotions for each month of the year.
www.BusinessContentPLR.com Page 12
5. LIGHTNING FAST LEARNING
It isn’t talked about very openly, but reading PLR to learn about a new topic is a
creative tactic that many marketers use to save time. The really great PLR sellers do excellent research, so you can save yourself a fortune in time spent learning about a subject just by buying one of their packs on that topic. Why should you
spend hours and hours surfing the web when you can get a good head start by reading the results of someone else's research?
Acquiring basic knowledge
When you see PLR on a topic you’d like to find out more about, grab it and save it
on your hard drive. You can create your own virtual library on a variety of subjects in this way. PLR that provides the basics can be found on a huge range of
categories, from business skills to parenting advice to dating tips.
When you’re ready to learn about a specific subject, just open up that library
category and read up on it. Then you can go fill in any gaps to discover some of the more advanced details being discussed around the 'net.
Preparing for interviews
You may not know much about a topic, but you can interview an expert to help your readers and yourself to learn more. Use some PLR to figure out interview
questions to ask for a podcast with an expert.
For instance, read about a topic in a PLR pack. Then write down the questions that
the articles answered. Use those questions to interview someone and get their own answers. If you record the interview AND transcribe it then you now have two great
pieces of content that has its roots in PLR.
Answering questions
PLR can also be used to quickly answer other people’s questions. Keeping a library
of PLR on different topics gives you a ready source of content to draw from for your answers.
You’ll find these questions in places like Yahoo! Answers, industry forums, and
comments in blogs (your own or others). Take snippets from PLR to answer the
questions and you will be adding value while expanding your reputation as an expert at the same time.
If you get questions via email, you can also use some PLR as a rough draft for an
answer.
Finally, if you combine a series of questions and answers into one page, you’ll
automatically have an FAQ page for your own site or as an addition to another
product.

ABOUT SHARYN SHELDON:
My two greatest passions in life (other than my family) are learning
and travel. After being an instructional designer and learning
consultant for major corporations for nearly 20 years, I decided to
bring my love of learning to internet marketing. My dream is to be
able to travel wherever I want and work at the same time. That’s the
ultimate beauty of internet marketing. All you need is a computer and
an internet connection!
I discovered private label rights content when I was floundering around trying to
create enough content for my niche sites. I only have a few hours each day to focus
on work, between family commitments like school, homework, and chauffeuring
duties for the kids. With so little time, I really needed to focus on marketing, but I
needed content too. That’s where PLR articles have been so incredibly helpful. So
long as I buy something of high quality, I can quickly customize it to make it
unique.
I finally decided to get into the PLR business myself after reading Peggy Baron’s
book on How to Become a PLR Writer. (It’s a great guide, if you’re interested.) Now
I’m working on gradually building up more and more PLR resources for business
coaches, small business owners and internet marketing service providers who need
quick content, but who want only top quality writing. My standards have always
been exceptionally high, so the PLR I sell had better be extremely well written! You
can check out my PLR at http://www.businesscontentplr.com.
I also created my own blog at www.SharynSheldon.com to share everything I learn
about internet marketing so that others can grow successful online businesses as
well. I believe that knowledge was meant to be shared, not eked out in dribs and
drabs or hoarded by those who are afraid of competition. Come join me in learning
how to become a better marketer and grow our businesses!
