Satellites
Satellite television is television programmingdelivered by the means of communications satelliteand received by an outdoor antenna, usually aparabolic mirror generally referred to as a satellitedish, and as far as household usage is concerned, asatellite receiver either in the form of an external set-top box or a satellite tuner module built into a TV set.Satellite TV tuners are also available as a card or aUSB stick to be attached to a personal computer. Inmany areas of the world satellite television providesa wide range of channels and services, often toareas that are not serviced by terrestrial or cableproviders.
Cable TV
Cable TV first appeared in England in 1932and was introduced by the Rediffusioncorporation. Originally cable TV wasdesigned to provide clearer TV reception inareas that could not properly receive TVchannels through their antennae.
Cable TV greatly expanded the influence ofTV on modern life. Cable TV is now popularall over the world. There are many benefitsthat come with cable TV however the mainbenefit is that there are hundreds of channelsbeing broadcasted 24 hours a day.

Pay per view provides a service by which atelevision audience can purchase events toview by private telecast. The broadcastershows the event at the same time toeveryone ordering it. Events can bepurchased using an on-screen guide, anautomated telephone system, or through alive customer service representative. Eventsoften include feature films, sporting eventsand entertainment.
