Oxford Road Station is within 10/15minwalking distance of both the north andsouth campuses. BUSThere are a large number of direct servicesfrom Piccadilly Bus Station and from southManchester. From other parts of the city achange of buses is usually required,normally at Piccadilly. M62 (Eastbound), M602Leave the M62 at J12 and join the M602.At the end of M602, join Regent Road(A57) and continue along and join theA57M (Mancunian Way). Leave at thesecond exit sign-posted A34 Congleton(hair-pin bend) and keep left, followingsigns for the Universities. Turn left ontothe A34 (dual carriageway) and get in theright hand lane. Turn right at the first setof traffic lights into Grosvenor Street. Stayin the left hand lane and turn left at thenext set of traffic lights onto Oxford Road(B5117). Go straight on through the nextset of traffic lights. The University’s VisitorsCentre is in the distinctive round buildingon the left-hand side.
M62 (Westbound), M60Leave M62 at J18 and join M60 ring road.Leave M60 at J22 and turn right at trafficlights onto Oldham Road (A62). Continue
along until the end and turn left to joinGreat Ancoats Street (A665). Follow signsfor the Universities and join the MancunianWay (A57M). Leave at the second exit ontoHigher Cambridge Street. Turn left at thenext set of traffic lights onto Booth StreetWest and then turn right onto Oxford Road(B5117). The University’s Visitors Centre isin the distinctive round building on theleft-hand side.
M6/M56Leave the M6 at Junction 19 and turn rightonto the A556. Follow signs forManchester Airport and join the M56. Stayon M56 until it joins Princess Parkway(A5103). Continue for a further four milesbefore turning right at the Royal Breweryinto Moss Lane East (B5219). Continue tothe T-junction and turn left onto OxfordRoad (B5117). Proceed down Oxford Roadpast the hospitals. The University’s VisitorsCentre is in the distinctive round buildingon the right-hand side.
From M67At the end of the motorway, join Hyde Road(A57). Continue along for approximately
three miles, following signs for the CityCentre. Upon reaching a major roundabout(the Apollo Theatre is on the left) take thesecond exit, Brunswick Street (signposted‘Universities’). Continue along and gostraight through the next set of traffic lights.At the next set of traffic lights, turn rightonto Oxford Rd (B5117). The University’sVisitors Centre is in the distinctive roundbuilding on the right-hand side.
