Work Order* TheWorkOrdermoduleforSage100ERP(formerlySageERPMAS90and200)isthecornerstoneofthesystem’sManufacturingSolution.Itallowsyoutoissueworkorders,developschedules,andtrackcostsassociatedwiththemanufacturingprocess.WorkOrderprovidesyouwithcompletecontrolofthemanufacturingprocessandtheabilitytoseeup-to-the-minute,work-in-processinformation.Thismoduleisparticularlywell-suitedforcompaniesengagedinassemble-to-order,engineer-to-order,ormake-to-orderprocessing.

WhenWorkOrderisusedinconjunctionwithBillofMaterials,thematerialrequiredtoproduceaproductcanbeautomaticallymergedfromtheappropriatebill.Alloftherequiredpaperworktomovethejobthroughtheshopcanthenbegeneratedfromeachworkorder,includingtravelers,pickingsheets,dispatchsheets,andoperationtickets.

Usingthismodule’sinformativereports,youcanevaluatemissingcosts,examineanyvariancefromstandards,checkmaterialshortages,analyzeworkcentercapacity,andconfirmtoolrequirements.Additionalreportingcapabilitiesinformyouofthestatusofopenworkorders,workinprocess,andworkorderhistory,andallowyoutoprintinventorylabels.

Enterupto100linesofdescriptionforeachstepofaroutingoraworkorder.TheStepDescriptioncanbeprintedontheWorkOrderTravelerandOperationTickettoprovidedetailedinstructionsforshopemployees.

Schedulinginformationcanbemaintainedforeachworkorder.Forwardschedulingcanbeusedtocalculatetheduedatebasedonaspecifiedreleasedateandtheleadtimes.Backwardschedulingcanbeusedtocalculatethenecessaryreleasedatebasedonaspecifiedduedate.Youcanrescheduleaworkorderafterithasbeenreleased.

TheWorkCenterCapacityInquiryandScheduledCapacityReportindicatecapacitycommitmentsagainstworkcenters.Informationcanbedisplayedgraphicallyorindetailshowingthestartdate,workordernumber,andcommittedhours.

YoucanprintWorkOrderTravelers,PickingSheets,DispatchSheets,andOperationTicketsforworkorders.Thesedocumentscanbeprintedforreleasedorunreleasedworkorders.

Alltransactionsagainstaworkordercanbeenteredusingthisprogram.Thetypesoftransactionsallowedareworkorderrelease,materialissue,labor,miscellaneouslaborcharge,miscellaneousmaterialcharge,outsideprocessingcharge,workordercompletion,andworkorderclose.

By-productsofamanufacturingprocess,alsoknownasco-productsorjointproducts,canbereceivedintoinventoryaspartofaworkordertransaction.

CompletedetailedhistoryinformationforclosedworkorderscanbedisplayedusingWorkOrderHistoryInquiryorprintedontheWorkOrderHistoryReport.

Itemcostscanbecalculatedbaseduponthecostofeachcomponentinitsbillofmaterials,yieldandscrappercentages,andthelaborandoverheadintherouting.TheStandardCostfieldcanbeupdatedwiththecalculatedcostfollowingthecompletionofthereport.

Uptofouruser-definedfieldscanbeenteredforeachworkorder.Fieldscancontainadateoruptotenalphanumericcharacters.

Memoscanbeenteredandmaintainedforindividualworkorders.Fulltext-editingfeaturesareavailable.WorkordermemoscanbedisplayedandmaintainedfromWorkOrderEntryandcanbeprintedontheOpenWorkOrderReport.

Labelscanbeprintedforeachinventoryitemcompletedfromaworkorder.Asinglelabelcanbeprintedperbatchofitems,orseparatelabelscanbeprintedforeachitemproduced.

BarcodescanbeprintedforselectedfieldsonTravelers,OperationTickets,PickingSheets,andWorkOrderLabels.BothCode39andCode128bar-codeformatsaresupportedforavarietyofprinters.
