Usewhenallexpensesrelatedtojobsstillinprogressarepostedtoawork-in-processassetaccountintheGeneralLedgermodule.Whenajobiscompleted,thetotalunbilledcostforthejobisrelievedfromwork-in-processandpostedtothecost-of-goods-soldaccount.

Eitheroftheseaccountingmethodsmaybeusedforeachjob.Percentagecompletionrecognizestherevenueandcostofsaleatthetimeajobisbilled.Withacompletedcontract,therevenueandcostofsalesarenotrecognizeduntilthejobhasbeencompleted.

Invoicesmaybeprintedwithcostdetailinformationonstandardoruser-definedcustominvoiceforms.Billingamountsmaybebaseduponthepriceperunitorthemarkupovercost.Invoicesmaybeprintedinbatchformorindividually.Invoicesforfixedcontractjobsmayalsobeprinted.

Contractinformationisretainedtoshowtheoriginalcontractamountsandanychangeorders.Changeordersmayalsobetrackedforeachsubcontractestablishedforajob.

Salesorderinvoicesmaybeassignedtoexistingornewjobsbycostcodeandcostclassification.Newjobscanbecreatedontheflyusingdefinedjobtypes.
