It's time to celebrate! Doesn't everyone love a party? Today is Palm Sunday! Can you imagine being in Jerusalem and getting caught up in the excitement as Jesus comes strolling through the city? The long awaited King is finally here and so many of our troubles will be in the past. Little did they know that in a few short days their dreams would be crushed. Jesus will be arrested and die a horrible death. They were confused and disillusioned. The truth was still true. He WAS their long awaited King who definitely came to change their condition. But it was not in the way they were expecting. Living in 2014 definitely has given us perspective and we know exactly what Jesus was doing and why. But imagine living in that day and time. So many times in our own lives we become confused and disillusioned and we think, "What in the world is God doing?" "Does He really care?" "Why is He not changing my circumstances?" As humans, these questions come quite naturally. However, we have to remember that we don't always see the entire picture in the moment we are hurting. Our Heavenly Father never allows pain to come into our lives without purpose and redemption. This is clear in the scriptures. HE has promised to NEVER leave us or forsake us. Heb. 13:5 HE has told us that HE indwells us and feels all of our pain. Heb. 4:15, Rom. 8:11 HE is saying, "Come to me all who are weary and I will give you rest." Matt. 11:28 As Easter approaches we can celebrate Jesus death, burial and resurrection AND we can celebrate our own death, burial and resurrection WITH Him. Listen to God’s word. Romans 6:5 - For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. (We know from Rom. 6:6 and Gal. 2:20 that Jesus took us (the old you and me)WITh Him to the cross.) So let's

continue with verse 8. "Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him." I don't believe that is merely speaking of living with Him in heaven. We live with him now! He indwells you and wants to handle your problems and your pain through you. We are NEVER alone. We are NEVER without a shoulder to cry on. We ALWAYS have hope that good will come out of our pain. Life is hard and we know a lot of people in a lot of pain. But we have not seen the end to their story. There's another chapter coming right around the corner. We love Romans 8:18 - "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." vs. 24 & 25 says For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently." So we HAVE hope and his name is JESUS. He cares and He has promised to redeem your pain. When people pour their hearts and their pain out in our office, our first goal is to help them realize that they do have hope. We’ve experienced some horrible circumstances and we hear about devastating situations every week. At the end of each story we like to remind them of two words…BUT GOD. Yes, we would have a reason to give up and check out if we did not have those two words at the end of our story. Jesus told us in John 16:33, ‘In this world you will have trouble. BUT take heart! I have overcome the world.” And Rom. 8:35,37, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall

trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? NO, in all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM who loved us. There are no victims in the Kingdom of God, only VICTORS! Wishing you and your family a wonderful Easter. ( ( ( ( ( ( ( ( Tim and Rebekah Royal(

Words of Encouragement !You have been on my mind quite a bit lately. I've been thinking about how much I learned during our counseling time together. I've thought so much about how I came to you for validation that all my woes were my husband's fault and I ended up learning that God could change ME and my heart. Thank you so much for the time you invested with me. I wanted you to know it has had a lifelong effect. We have joined a new church plan here in the Bay Area east of SF. I'm so incredibly excited about God's purpose and love. God bless you and Tim and your beautiful family and ministry. !

A Growing Family!

Grant Jameson Royal was born on March 24th. Grant weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and arrived through natural childbirth. Katie did a great job managing the pain and delivering this little blessing. Jason did a great job coaching her through the toughest moments. Grant cooperated by arriving quickly. Harper and Elliott are thrilled to have a new little brother!!

!Please pray for Jeremy, Christen, and Easton. Easton is our third grandson who is 9 months old. He was born with a moderate to severe hearing loss and will be getting hearing aids in May. We are blessed to have this healthy and extremely happy child in our family. Though we grieve because of this news, we know that God has a purpose in all of our lives as we watch HIM work mightily through this situation.!

!Elliott turned 5 on February 10 and Harper turned 7 on March 27th! They love Yogli Mogli and one on one dates with Nana! Recently, Christen introduced Easton to Yogli Mogli, as well. It was a hit with him too!
