GRADUATION
Congratulations to our Roebuck Primary School graduating students who have finished the year showing us what a fantastic bunch of students they have become.
These students have been impressive role models for their peers; exceptional students for our teaching and support staff; and I am sure, children who have made their parents and family members, proud.
Wishing you all the very best for the adventures that lay ahead. Remember, try different things; believe in yourself; and, above all else, friends and family are important.
GOODBYES
It is with best wishes that we farewell the following staff: Mrs O’Neill as she starts her maternity leave. Ms Fall, Ms Dorozenko and Ms Ritter as they embark on some well-earned leave. Ms Griggs, who with her partner, are heading back to Tasmania. On behalf of the staff and school community, we wish all a safe and enjoyable time and travels.
IT’S A WRAP
This year has been a tremendous year with so many achievements for our school, staff and students. We have such a dynamic and exciting school, offering all students wide and varied learning experiences in a safe and welcoming environment. It’s not until families leave Roebuck Primary School that they realise how much is offered here every single day.
To staff who make this happen; my sincere appreciation for your professional commitment and caring manner. I have never worked in a school where staff continue to give above and beyond across so many fields of endeavour. To the School Board whose strength of governance and support offered; it is greatly appreciated. To the energetic and tremendous P&C who provide so much throughout the year - thank you. To all families, your support of the school, staff and all we do, is acknowledged as one of the elements that makes Roebuck Primary School the best place in Broome for your children.
To all the students whose energy, personalities, characters, behaviours, smiles, laughter and individual qualities make each and every day that much richer; enjoy the Christmas holidays and play hard, be safe and we will see you in 2018.

*$650 is the expected total cost inclusive of all activities, accommodation, transport and food for a five day camp. Parent fundraising has historically reduced the contribution to approximately $300 per student. This amount per child per annum is therefore dependent and directly related to the effort and energy of the fundraising.
Prior to camp, payment plans may be negotiated with the Principal.
Payment will be requested during the school year when costs and participation by students is
confirmed

FIVE MINUTES WITH MISS BREALEY...
This week I caught up with Miss Brealey in the Greenshank Computer Lab.
Miss Brealey has been working at Roebuck Primary School since 2006 and in
that time has been the Phys Ed specialist, classroom teacher and now runs
all things computer and technology, teaching Digital Technology.
Miss Brealey grew up in Scarborough/Doubleview but spent a lot of time on
weekends and holidays in Mandurah: surfing, crabbing, fishing, prawning.
In her spare time, Miss Brealey enjoys swimming, 4wd driving, camping,
fishing, crabbing, dancing, laughing and taking long walks along the beach.
Miss Brealey was inspired to become a teacher because of her love of
learning, her curiosity of knowledge and she has a deep passion for reading
and writing.
One thing that you probably don’t know about Miss Brealey is that she was invited to represent Australia in the
Olympic Games in Rhythmic Gymnastics! Even to this day Miss Brealey can still do the SPLITS!!! She is very
impressive!
Miss Brealey enjoys working at Roebuck Primary School because she finds the students to be so bright and
motivated and the staff are so dedicated - not to mention it’s located in the most amazing town in Australia.
Miss Brealey LOVES living in Broome!!!
Miss Brealey's greatest accomplishments are her son Kim and her daughter Jayde who are both all grown up now
and chasing their dreams!
In the future Miss Brealey would like to
Travel to more of Europe (Morocco, Majorca, British Isles)
Travel to America (especially Nashville, New Orleans, Hawaii)
Write a novel - a best seller of course!
Buy and live in her dream house
Paint with oils
Thanks so much for giving us five minutes of your time Miss Brealey! Bindi Forde
A reminder that, for duty of care reasons, the Department of Education requires us to
differentiate between school organised, P&C organised and business/community activities.
