Aqueous dispersions tested alone and blended with carboxylated styrene
butadiene emulsions (CSBE)
Mylar (PET) sheet coated with blend using #20 Mayer Rod
Film dried at 150 C⁰ for 1min
Mylar film rolled onto compounded EPDM/peroxide rubber sheet
Mylar/blend/rubber cured in heated press
After curing rubber plaque is cut into 2.5cm wide strips. Peel Resistance, PET to rubber

Blending of Ricobond 7004 with
Carboxylated SB Emulsions
• Ricobond 7004 dramatically improves the adhesion of carboxylated SB
emulsions to PET film.
• Cohesive failure is observed when adding Ricobond 7004 to GenFlo 8045.
